Please send information about vessel arrivals and departures from your port to news@boatnerd.net by 9 p.m. (Eastern) nightly for them to be included in the next day’s news. Please include name of vessel, arrival time, day and dock it went to (if known). We welcome new reporters. If your port is not included, we would welcome your contributions. We are particularly looking for reporters for the St. Marys River, Southern Lake Michigan ports, Detroit, Toledo and the Hamilton/Toronto area.
Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: James R. Barker departed at 20:34 (CST) Tuesday night with iron ore pellets for Indiana Harbor. Joyce L. VanEnkevort arrived at 05:07 Wednesday morning to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Tug G.L. Ostrander and barge Integrity arrived at 15:31 to unload cement at Lafarge Superior. Joyce L. VanEnkevort departed at 17:14 with iron ore pellets. As of Wednesday, Ocean Castle was the only vessel in port on the Duluth side; she’s estimated to depart sometime Wednesday night with wheat from Riverland Ag. American Spirit is expected Thursday evening to load iron ore pellets at CN#6.
Superior Entry: CSL Tadoussac arrived at 16:08 (CST) Wednesday afternoon to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. Besides CSL Tadoussac, G.L. Ostrander and barge Integrity were unloading cement at Lafarge Wednesday night. Algoma Discovery will anchor off Superior Wednesday night to load after the Tadoussac. CSL Tadoussac is estimated to depart Thursday morning with iron ore pellets. G.L. Ostrander is estimated to depart Thursday afternoon empty.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
John J. Boland departed Two Harbors on 6/15 at 19:13. Mesabi Miner arrived Two Harbors on 6/15 at 20:01. As of 18:00 on 6/16 she was still at the dock, but looked close to departing. Due Two Harbors on 6/17 are the Edgar B. Speer, Indiana Harbor, Edwin H. Gott, and the Spruceglen. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the American Integrity depart on 6/15 at 20:04 for Cleveland. Due Silver Bay on 6/17 is the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader.

Tuesday; 21:25 Federal Asahi departed for Sorel. Wednesday; 13:00 Algoma Harvester departed for Quebec City. 18:45 Harvest Spirit arrived at Viterra A to load grain.
Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Undaunted/Pere Marquette 41 arrived at 15:57 Tuesday (06/15), loaded coal ash at the heavy lift dock, then headed for Alpena just past midnight. After delivering salt for Cargill, Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder departed for Stoneport at 18:46 Tuesday. John Marshall with three grain barges finally cleared for Calumet Harbor at 17:04 Wednesday. Samuel de Champlain/Innovation is expected early Thursday with cement for Lafarge.

Cheboygan; Tuesday; 10:01 Albert / tanker barge Margaret arrived at the US Oil Co. terminal to unload petroleum products and departed Wednesday at 6:48 for Calcite.
Calcite: Tuesday; 20:48 Cuyahoga departed for Sombra. 23:30 Wilfred Sykes arrived to load limestone and departed Wednesday at 10:30 for Indiana Harbor. 10:40 Albert / tanker barge Margaret arrived to unload petroleum products.
Stoneport: Tuesday; 21:40 Kaye E Barker departed for Marquette.
Alpena: Tuesday; 21:09 Samuel De Champlain / Innovation departed for Milwaukee. 21:47 Defiance / Ashtabula arrived to unload at the Lafarge plant. 22:52 The cement carrier Alpena arrived to load.Wednesday; 10:39 Defiance / Ashtabula departed for Brevort.

Algoma Intrepid cleared 9.07 pm Tuesday upbound for Escanaba with salt Algoma Sault loading at Compass Minerals. John D Leitch approaching.

Monroe: Paul R.Tregurtha arrived at 0300. She unloaded at DTE, then left at 13:23.
Kingsville: Robert S. Pierson arrived late Tuesday night, unloaded and departed at 02:50 for Marblehead.
Marblehead: Robert S. Pierson arrived at 0637. She left at 17:42. Herbert C. Jackson arrived at 09:09 and anchored. She went to the dock to load at 17:58.
Sandusky: Algoma Transport departed for Clarkson at 10:52. H. Lee White arrived at 11:33 to load coal at the NS dock.
Cleveland: Sharon MI departed at 06:22. Herbert C. Jackson left at 04:07 for Marblehead. American Courage is back on the shuttles and Algoma Buffalo was at Cargill loading salt. McKeil Spirit arrived at Lehigh Cement at 12:58.Heerengracht arrived at 17:11 and went to dock 22E at the Port. Fuldaborg arrived at 21:30.
Fairport Harbor: Calumet departed Morton Salt at 11:03. She was headed to Toledo.
Nanticoke: Algocanada was at Imperial Oil.
