Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: American Century arrived at 03:06 (CST) Thursday morning to load coal at SMET. ATB Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader arrived at 12:53 to fuel and load iron ore pellets at CN#6. American Century departed at 15:17 with coal for St. Clair. Paul R. Tregurtha arrived at 15:30 under the same lift to take American Century’s place at SMET; many people were there to wish Captain Bob a happy retirement. As of Thursday night, tug Clyde S. VanEnkevort and her barge Erie Trader were loading at CN#6 and Federal Yukina was waiting at Port Terminal for a sport at SMET. Clyde and her barge are estimated to depart early Friday morning with iron ore pellets. Paul R. Tregurtha is estimated to also depart early Friday, but with coal. Spliethoff’s Fortunagracht is expected early Friday afternoon to unload general cargo at Port Terminal.
Superior Entry: There was no vessel traffic on the Superior side Thursday. As of Thursday night, Paul R. Tregurtha was loading coal at SMET. No traffic is expected for BNSF until Saturday.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
Edgar B. Speer arrived Two Harbors on 6/30 at 11:20 and departed at 22:06 on 6/30 for Gary. Great Republic went to North of #2 lay-by and went to South of #2 after the Speer departed.The Great Republic departed Two Harbors on 7/1 at 08:10 for Gary. Due Two Harbors on 7/1 is the Edwin H. Gott and the Presque Isle is due on 7/2. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the arrival of the Indiana Harbor on 06/30 at 14:56. An update on a boat I missed. The Michipicoten arrived Two Harbors on 6/29 at 23:30. It departed on 7/1 at 05:37 for the Soo. It took it’s entire load at North of #2 gravity dock.

Port Inland: Thursday; 1:35 Saginaw departed for Spragge. 2:12 Wilfred Sykes proceeded to the dock to load limestone and departed Friday at 13:03 for Indiana Harbor.
Charlevoix: Wednesday; 21:46 Caroline McKee / barge Commander departed for Grand Haven.

After delivering deicing salt for Morton, Baie Comeau cleared for Indiana Harbor at 19:45 Wednesday (06/30). After unloading European steel, Isadora cleared for Thunder Bay at 01:34 Thursday.

Cleveland: Manitou headed back to Port Huron at 14:29. Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson is at the Port docks undergoing repairs to her rudder. She left for Marblehead at 15:30. Karen Andrie left at 12:15 for Detroit. Prentiss Brown/St. Mary’s Challenger left at 02:36 for Charlevoix. Sea Eagle II/St. Mary’s Cement II arrived under tow at 06:58 and proceeded to St. Mary’s Jefferson St. terminal. Herbert C. Jackson arrived at 07:22 with stone for Osborne. She unloaded and left at 19:59 for another trip to Marblehead. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived from Detroit Thursday night.
Fairport Harbor: CSL Tadoussac arrived late Thursday night.
Ashtabula: John J. Boland arrived with stone from Calcite at 11:57. She departed at 19:50.
Conneaut: American Integrity arrived late Thursday night.
Erie: The saltie Calypso arrived at 06:12.
Nanticoke: Algoma Intrepid left for Milwaukee at 10:01. CSL Tadoussac departed for Fairport Harbor at 13:04. Algonorth left at 02:00 for Sarnia.
