Duluth Entry: Herbert C. Jackson departed at 23:56 (CST) Monday night empty for Marquette. American Integrity arrived at 01:25 Tuesday morning to load coal at SMET. John G. Munson departed at 02:35 with iron ore pellets for Gary. Federal Nakagawa arrived from anchor at 06:26 to load wheat at Gavilon. Mesabi Miner arrived at 10:05 to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. American Integrity departed at 16:24 with coal for St. Clair. Finally, Fortunagracht departed at 16:41 empty for Burns Harbor. As of Tuesday night, Federal Dee was unloading at CRH and Mesabi Miner was loading at CN#6. American Century is expected to arrive late Tuesday to load coal at SMET. Mesabi Miner is estimated to depart early Wednesday with iron ore pellets. Wilfred Sykes is expected early morning to take a delay at Port Terminal.
Superior Entry: Tim S. Dool departed at 03:33 Tuesday morning with iron ore pellets for Hamilton. Algoma Guardian arrived at 03:58 to load at BNSF; she departed at 13:07, also for Hamilton. As of Tuesday night, Federal Nakagawa was the only vessel on port on the Superior side; she was loading at Gavilon. Algoma Transport is expected Wednesday night to load at BNSF.

Two Harbors – Gary A. Putney
James R. Barker arrived Two Harbors at 7/6 at 04:27. Edgar B. Speer went to anchor West of Sand Island to wait on the Two Harbors dock. North Shore Mining in Silver Bay saw the departure of the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. at 18:25 on 7/6.

Thunder Bay, ON
Destination update: The CSL self unloader Thunder Bay is bound for Sydney NS. Monday; 19:35 Algoma Equinox arrived and went to anchor. 21:28 Saginaw departed for Toledo. 21:35 Evans Spirit weighed anchor and proceeded to the Richardson Current River Terminal to load wheat. 22:43 Federal St Laurent arrived at Thunder Bay Terminals to load. Tuesday; 4:05 Isadora departed for an overseas port. 4:50 Algoma Equinox weighed anchor and proceeded to the Richardson Main Terminal to load wheat. The saltie Miedwie arrived and went to anchor.17:03 Federal Hunter departed for Quebec City.17:07 Gardno weighed anchor and proceeded to the Superior Elevator to load grain. 17:36 Evans Spirit departed for Port Cartier. 18:41 Algoma Innovator departed for Toledo.

Marquette, MI – Andrew Pickering
July 6, 2021:  Lee A Tregurtha arrived overnight at Marquette’s ore dock and departed around mid-day.  Tuesday afternoon, the Herbert C Jackson is scheduled to arrive at the ore dock.  Thursday, Erie Trader is scheduled for an early morning arrival while the Lee A Tregurtha is scheduled to return to Marquette Friday evening.  Finally, the Kaye E Barker is scheduled for a Sunday afternoon arrival.

St. Marys River
The Poe Lock was down for several hours Tuesday due to electrical issues with one of the gates. Traffic began moving again about 2 p.m. Downbound Thunder Bay and Hon James L. Oberstar moored at the upper wall, while the upbound Cinnamon tied up at the Poe Lock. Edwin H. Gott and CSL St-Laurent were anchored at Nine Mile.

Northern Lake Michigan
Port Inland: Monday; 16:28 Victory / Maumee arrived to load limestone and departed Tuesday at 8:28 for Ashtabula. 9:1! Joseph L Block arrived to partially load and departed at 16:05 for Port Dolomite.
Brevort: Tuesday; 13:01 John J Boland departed for Buffalo.
Charlevoix: Tuesday; 6:33 Prentiss Brown / St Marys Conquest arrived to load cement products and departed at 13:51 for Milwaukee.

Menominee, MI – Scott Best
The small saltwater cargo vessel Marietje Andrea arrived off Menominee Monday evening and went to anchor. Tuesday morning with assistance of the Tug William C Gaynor they docked at KKIL in Menominee to unload a small cargo of wood pulp. At 409 feet long and a crew of only 10 this colorful ship is on its first ever visit to the lakes and has been attracting attention everywhere it goes. It’s next port after Menominee will be Thunder Bay to load grain.

Algoma Compass cleared 1.54 am Tuesday downbound for Toronto with salt.  Algoma Buffalo arrived 8.30 am Tuesday loading at Compass Minerals, cleared 7 pm Tuesday upbound for Alpena with salt.

Monroe:  Sam Laud arrived at 01:05. She unloaded and left for Marblehead at 08:20.
Kingsville:  Manitoulin arrived at 09:44. She unloaded and left at 14:27 for Sandusky.
Marblehead:  Sam Laud arrived at 13:39.
Sandusky:  Florence Spirit departed at 11:08 for Grande Anse. Manitoulin arrived at 18:34.
Cleveland:  Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader departed at 00:45 for Marquette. American Courage came in from anchorage at 01:19 to load a shuttle at the Bulk Terminal. Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph. H. Thompson arrived late Tuesday night to unload at the Cliffs stone dock. The combo departed at 19:17.Petite Forte/St. Mary’s Cement is at LaFarge. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder is at Cargill. Samuel deChamplain/Innovation arrived late Tuesday night.
Nanticoke:  Algonova departed for Sarnia. Algoma Hansa and Algosea wereanchored off of Port Dover.
