Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Wicko departed at 21:11 (CST) Wednesday night with wheat for an overseas port. American Century arrived at 02:24 to load coal at SMET. Dirk S. VanEnkevort arrived at 07:58 to unload limestone at Graymont. American Century departed at 13:55 with coal for St. Clair. As of Thursday afternoon, CSL Welland was anchored off Duluth waiting to load at Two Harbors. Dirk S. VanEnkevort is estimated to depart Thursday evening empty for Silver Bay. American Spirit is expected Thursday night to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is also expected Thursday night, but to load coal at SMET. Kaye E. Barker is expected Friday night to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5.
Superior Entry: John D. Leitch departed at 18:57 (CST) Wednesday evening with iron ore pellets for Quebec City. As of Thursday afternoon, Dirk S. VanEnkevort was unloading at Graymont. Radcliffe R. Latimer is expected Thursday night to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. Algoma Discovery is expected Friday late afternoon to load iron ore pellets at BNSF.

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
Two Harbors saw the CSL Niagara depart on 8/19 at 07:15 for Quebec City, Edgar B. Speer arrived Two Harbors at 07:47. She is still at the dock as of 18:30. She is loading for Conneaut. Waiting for the dock are Edwin H. Gott Two Harbors and CSL Welland, stopped off Duluth. Indiana Harbor is showing on Harbor Lookout, but her AIS is Superior. Possibly going to the Lakehead dock for a delay. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the arrival of he Joyce L. VanEnkevort at 09:15. It departed Duluth light at 18.20 heading up the shore presumably for Silver Bay.

Thunder Bay, ON
Manitoulin and CSL St-Laurent departed Thursday afternoon for the lower lakes.

St. Marys River – Roger LeLievre
The Great Lakes Towing Co. tug Indiana, stationed at the Soo, has been renamed Hawaii. Elsewhere on the lakes, the G tug Minnesota has been renamed Tennessee and the tug Illinois is now Alaska. Research vessel Kiyi remained at the U.S. Coast Guard dock Thursday waiting for parts

Northern Lake Michigan
Cuyahoga was loading stone at Port Inland Thursday evening.

Holland, MI – Bill Van Appledorn
Arriving from Meldrum Bay, ON,  Saginaw unloaded aggregate at Verplank’s dock Thursday 9:30 AM and later moved on to Brewer’s with a split load.

Grand Haven – Matthew Uthe
Calumet was unloading Thursday. She was outbound at 9 p.m.

Southern Lake Michigan
Stewart J. Cort was unloading Thursday at Burns Harbor, with Burns Harbor anchored offshore waiting for the dock. Ronnie and BBC Texas were also in port. Wilfred Sykes was at Indiana Harbor. Federal Weser was at S. Chicago.

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Buffalo cleared 2.54 am Thursday upbound for Chicago’s Export Dock with salt. Algoma Innovator returning empty from Buffalo, arrived 5.32 pm Thursday loading at Compass Minerals.  This is Innovator’s11th appearance in Goderich this season for salt.

Sarnia, ON – Bruce Kennedy
Social media photos show the the retired laker Mississagi with one of her stack logo removed and sitting on the dock. They will likely be used on other vessels. Mississagi is expected to sold for scrap.

Lake Erie Ports for Thursday – Bill Kloss
Cleveland:   Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder departed for Milwaukee at 04:28. Defiance/Ashtabula left at 06:13 and is returning to Calcite.
Ashtabula:  H. Lee White arrived late Thursday night.
Conneaut:  American Integrity arrived at 20:02 to unload at the P&C dock.
Nanticoke:  Presque Isle departed for Duluth at 08:10.
