Duluth Entry: Kaye E. Barker arrived at 19:30 (CST) Friday night to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5; they departed at 04:35 Saturday morning empty for Marquette. As of Saturday afternoon, Indiana Harbor was loading at CN#6. Indiana Harbor may depart sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Presque Isle is expected mid-morning Sunday to load iron ore pellets at CN#6.
Superior Entry: Algoma Discovery departed at 04:34 (CST) Saturday morning with iron ore pellets for Quebec City. Algoma Harvester arrived at 16:10 to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. As of Saturday afternoon, Algoma Harvester was loading at BNSF. Algoma Harvester is estimated to depart early Sunday with iron ore pellets. Stewart J. Cort is expected Sunday night to also load iron ore pellets at BNSF.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
CSL Welland departed Two Harbors on 8/21 at 07:17. It isn’t showing an unloading destination, but it will be Quebec City. Due Two Harbors on 8/22 is the Michipicoten. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader depart on 8/21 at 07:30 for Toledo. Arriving Silver Bay on 8/21 was the Mesabi Miner at 11:20.
Thunder Bay, ON
Saturday; 0:22 The saltie Ortolan Btea Strait arrived and went to anchor. 12:09 Blair McKeil departed for Port Cartier. 12:18 Fraserborg weighed anchor and proceeded to the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain.
St. Marys River – Roger LeLievre
Downbound traffic Saturday included Great Lakes Trader/Joyce L. VanEnkevert, Sharon M1/Huron Spirit, Radcliffe R. Latimer, Maumee/Victory, Tufty and American Mariner. Upbounders included Hon James L Oberstar, Stewart J. Cort and Michipicoten.

Joseph L. Block arrived Saturday morning to unload limestone, an unusual trip for her.
Southern Lake Michigan
According to her AIS, Algoma Buffalo was headed for Sarnia’s North Slip Saturday evening. She is going into temporary layup due to lack of cargo. Burns Harbor was host to Ronnie, Federal Weser and Federal Yoshino. Algoma Innovator was at S. Chicago. Wilfred Sykes is headed for Detroit, where she will head up the Rouge River to load.
Northern Lake Huron
Algoma Guardian arrived 6.20 pm Friday, stored North wall in basin. Michipicoten arrived 8.49 pm unloaded trap rock onto NEW wharf, then cleared 4.26 am Saturday upbound for Two Harbours. Algoma Intrepid arrived 9.17 pm Friday loaded at Compass Minerals, cleared 12.47 pm Saturday upbound for Green Bay. Intrepids’s 20th appearance for salt in Goderich this season. Algoma Compass expected next.

Monroe: Paul R.Tregurtha departed for Superior at 17:30.
Cleveland: James R. Barker departed at 10:13 for Duluth. Petite Forte/St.Mary’s Cement left for Toledo at 19:12. G.L.Ostrander/Integrity arrived at LaFarge at 19:30. American Courage is still on the shuttles.
Fairport Harbor: Manitowoc departed Friday night for Toledo.
Nanticoke: CSL Tadoussac departed at 01:49.Frontenac arrived at Stelco at 03:15. Algocanada was still at Imperial Oil.
