Western Lake Superior
Duluth Entry: Mesabi Miner arrived at 20:28 (CST) Tuesday evening to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. James R. Barker departed at 23:59 with low sulfur coal for St. Clair. Isadora departed at 12:50 Thursday afternoon with wheat for an overseas port. Mesabi Miner departed at 18:43 with iron ore pellets for Indiana Harbor. As of Thursday night no vessels were in port on the Duluth side. No vessels are expected through the Duluth entry until Sunday.
Superior Entry: Frontenac arrived at 01:28 (CST) Thursday morning, but departed again soon after at 02:14 most likely due to high winds. They sat at anchor outside the Superior entry for the first part of the day; they eventually left anchor at a slow speed. As of Thursday night, no vessels were in port on the Superior side. Frontenac is expected Thursday night to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. They are estimated to depart Friday morning with iron ore pellets. Stewart J. Cort is expected Friday evening to load at BNSF.
Two Harbors: Presque Isle arrived at 20:15 (CST) Tuesday evening to wait to load iron ore pellets. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. departed at 04:49 Wednesday morning with iron ore pellets for Conneaut. Presque Isle departed at 17:50 Thursday evening with iron ore pellets for Nanticoke. As of Thursday night, no vessels were in Two Harbors. Baie Comeau is expected Friday afternoon to load iron ore pellets at CN. Edgar B. Speer is expected Friday afternoon or evening to also load iron ore pellets.
Silver Bay: Indiana Harbor arrived at 08:51 (CST) Wednesday morning to load iron ore pellets at Northshore Mining. As of Thursday evening, Indiana Harbor was in port loading. They are estimated to depart sometime Friday with iron ore pellets. Clyde S. VanEnkevort and Erie Trader are expected Friday evening to load at Northshore Mining.

Thunder Bay, ON
Wednesday; 22:12 Federal Asahi departed for Sorel. 22:27 Federal Chamlain arrived at Viterra A to load grain. Thursday; 0:01 The saltie Lake Ontario arrived and went to anchor.

Mackinac Straits – Thomas Chambers
As of 12:30pm, there awerere three freighters taking shelter from the high easterly winds in thearea. Joseph L. Block by St Ignace, Hon. James L. Oberstar by Wilderness State Park, and Beatrix behind Lighthouse point on Bob Lo. (11/11/21).

Northern Lake Michigan
Port Inland: Wednesday; 6:00 H Lee White arrived to load limestone and departed at 18:29 for Fairport. 19:06 Calumet arrived to load limestone and departed Thursday at 17:22 for Cleveland.
Charlevoix: Wednesday; 4:12  Prentiss Brown  / St Marys Challenger departed for Owen Sound. 4:25 Bradshaw McKee / St Marys Conquest  arrived at the St Marys plant to load cement products.and departed at 7:01. They sailed south to Suttons Bay and went to anchor to wait out the weather. Thursday; 7:46 American Mariner arrived at the St Marys Cement plant to unload petroleum coke. 8:22 Caroline McKee / Commander arrived at St Marys Cement.and tied up along the break wall. 18:22 American Mariner departed for the Straits of Mackinac. Caroline McKee / Commander proceeded to the loading dock.
Good Harbor Bay: Wednesday; 13:27 Kaye E Barker went to anchor 14:16 Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson went to anchor. Both are for Grand Haven and are waiting out the weather.

Northern Lake Huron
Thessalon: Wednesday; 8:36 Atlantic Huron departed for Windsor.
Meldrum Bay: Tuesday; 22:26 Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson departed for Grand Haven. Wednesday; CSL Laurentian arrived and went to anchor. Thursday; 7:00 Sam Laud arrived and went to anchor. 10:10 CSL Laurentian proceeded to the Lafarge dock to load limestone.
Port Dolomite: Wednesday; 2:25 Kaye E Barker departed for Grand Haven.
Cheboygan: Wednesday; 13:12 The tug Michigan and tanker barge Great Lakes departed for Port Huron.
Calcite: Wednesday; 5:38 Defiance / Ashtabula departed for Lorain 5:55 John G Munson proceeded to the dock to load limestone. 14:38 Hon James L Oberstar departed for Buffington.14:44 Victory / Maumee arrived to load. Thursday; 0:59 John G Munson departed for Detroit.
Stoneport: Wednesday; 11:48 Manitowoc arrived to load limestone and departed at 22:42 for the Saginaw River.
Alpena: Wednesday; 16:29 G L Ostrander / Integrity arrived at the Lafarge plant to load cement products.
Weather Delays: With gales blowing on Lake Michigan and Lake Huron a number of boats are waiting out the weather. Wednesday; Great Republic for Calcite went to anchor in the St Marys River north of Detour. 19:45 Hon James L Oberstar for Buffington went to anchor west of Mackinaw City on the Lake Michigan side of the Straits of Mackinac 21:54 Joseph L Block for Indiana Harbor went to anchor off of St Ignace. 22:57 Dorothy Ann / Pathfinder for Burns Harbor went to anchor in the South Channel off of Grand View MI. Thursday; 11:37 The salty Beatrix for Windsor went to anchor on the north shore of Bois Blanc Island.

Lake Erie Ports for Thursday – Bill Kloss
Monroe:  Lee A. Tregurtha arrived at 04:11, unloaded coal at DTE and left for Stoneport. Paul R. Tregurtha arrived at 11:00 with a partial load of coal for DTE.
Kingsville:  Cuyahoga arrived at Southwestern Sales at 09:21, unloaded and departed for Windsor at 13:45.
Sandusky:  G tug Alaska ( the former Illinois) arrived at 17:39. CSL Niagara was a late night arrival  to load at Norfolk Southern’s coal dock.
Lorain:  Defiance/Ashtabula arrived at 11:41 and unloaded at Carmeuse.
Cleveland:  Algoma Buffalo departed at 02:45 with salt for Montreal. Samuel deChamplain/Innovation arrived at 09:27 to unload at the LaFarge Elm St.  terminal. Petite Forte/St. Mary’s Cement arrived at 12:05 to unload at the St. Mary’s Jefferson St. terminal. Federal Ems and Peyton Lynn C are at the Port. American Courage is still running shuttles.
Nanticoke:  Algonova arrived at Imperial Oil

Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
CSL Niagara arrived light to load coal at the Gateway Metroport Main Dock at 1 PM on the 10th. She came in the South Entrance, winded in the Outer Harbor, and backed up the Lackawanna canal without assistance to tie up at the bulk apron. They were done taking on their partial cargo on the morning of the 11th and departed at 4:20 AM for Sandusky where they would load the rest of the boat for eventual delivery to Hamilton.
