Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Paul R. Tregurtha departed at 01:12 (CST) Friday morning with low sulfur coal for St. Clair and Monroe. American Spirit arrived at 03:08 to fuel at husky; they departed at 06:39 with iron ore pellets from BNSF for Gary. As of Friday afternoon, Federal Clyde was unloading at CRH while American Century was loading at CN#6. American Century is estimated to depart Friday night with iron ore pellets. Saginaw is expected late-morning Saturday to unload grain at Riverland Ag. Polsteam’s Gardno is expected to arrive off Duluth late-afternoon to anchor, waiting to load wheat at Riverland Ag.
Superior Entry: American Spirit departed at 01:50 (CST) Friday morning to fuel on the Duluth side; they later departed Duluth with the iron ore pellets they loaded at BNSF for Gary. Burns Harbor arrived at 08:39 to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. As of Friday afternoon, Burns Harbor was loading at BNSF. They are estimated to depart Friday night with iron ore pellets. CSL Niagara is expected early Saturday to load at BNSF.

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
The Edwin H. Gott departed Two Harbors on 12/03 at 01:45 for Gary. The Algoma Conveyor arrived Two Harbors stern first on 12/03 at 02:22 for South of #2. She turned off the ore docks and went into the dock bow first. She departed at 14:27 on 12/03. She is yet to have an updated AIS. The Presque Isle shifted from North of #2 to South of #2 between 14:48 and 15:15. The American Integrity went South of Rock of Ages and at 17:30 on 12/03 she is heading down the North Shore for Two Harbors. The James R. Barker is heading for Two Harbors, but went to anchor on 12/03 off Bay Cliff. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the departure of the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader on 12/03 at 08:50 for Toledo. Due Silver Bay is the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader. As of 17:30 on 12/03 she is approx. 40 miles East of Silver Bay. The North Shore is expected to see upwards of 12″ of snow this weekend.

Thunder Bay, ON
Wednesday; 18:31The saltie Lyulin departed for Antwerp. 18:51 Federal Churchill weighed anchor and proceeded to Thunder Bay Terminals to load potash. 19:44 Algoma Intrepid arrived at the MobilEx Terminal to load potash. 20:08 CSL Welland finished loading and shifted to the main anchorage to wait out weather.20:32 The saltie Brant proceeded to Viterra A to load grain. 22:53 Algoma Guardian arrived at the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain. Thursday; 0:53 Algoma Sault departed for Hamilton. 8:23 CSL Welland departed for Montreal.13:38 Algoma Intrepid departed for Oshawa. 12:28 The saltie Kom arrived and went to anchor. 12:48 Kaministiqua departed for Sorel. 22:40 Saginaw arrived at the Richardson Current River Terminal to load grain.4:21 Federal Churchill departed for Montreal. 4:51 The saltie Kom arrived at Thunder Bay Terminals to load potash.14:21 Algoma Guardian shifted to the main anchorage. Manitoulin arrived at the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain.

Northern Lake Huron
Spragge: Thursday; 4:29 Sam Laud went to anchor in the North Channel for weather. Friday; 1:33 With calmer conditions Sam Laud arrived to unload and departed at 6:54 for Port Inland.
Bruce Mines: Friday; 4:50 Manitowoc arrived to load trap rock and departed at 15:16 for Chicago.
Meldrum Bay: Thursday; 15:19 Algoma Innovator arrived to load limestone and departed Friday at 8:45 down bound on Lake Huron.
Cheboygan: After spending Thursday at anchor due to weather the tug Michigan and tanker barge Great Lakes arrived at the US Oil Co terminal Friday at 7:14 to unload petroleum products.
Calcite: Wednesday; 19:02  The tug Michigan and tanker barge Great Lakes arrived to unload diesel fuel and departed Thursday at 7:31 for Cheboygan. 8:13 Great Republic arrived to load limestone and departed Friday at 1:20 for Duluth Superior.3:53 John J Boland arrived to load limestone. 4:46 Victory / Maumee arrived to load limestone.
Stoneport: Thursday; 4:58 Calumet departed for the St Joseph River. 11:20 Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson arrived to load limestone and departed at 23:08 for Cleveland.
Alpena: Thursday; 7:43 G L Ostrander / Integrity arrived at the Lafarge plant to load cement products and departed at 14:40 for Detroit. Friday; 8:54 Samuel De Champlain / Innovation arrived at the Lafarge plant to load cement products and departed at 15:23 for Milwaukee.   

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Federal Kumano cleared 10.44am Friday downbound for Montreal.  Andean arrived 11.46am Friday eased up to elevators.  Andean’s first appearance this season. Algoma Compass arrived 11.30am backed in to Compass Minerals. Compass’ 27th appearance this season.  Goderich has hosted 180 lake boats thus far this season with Andean. BBC Europe is in Sarnia to load yachts tomorrow to transfer to Florida.  Not sure how many but Sedna Desgagnes arrived earlier this year during June 2nd, had seven on it’s deck and eight in hold.

Lake Erie Ports for Friday – Bill Kloss
Monroe: Indiana Harbor arrived at DTE at 15:07.
Kingsville:  Cuyahoga arrived at 12:52 to unload stone at Southwestern Sales. After unloading she left at 17:49 for a return to Marblehead.
Marblehead:  Cuyahoga loaded at LaFarge and departed for Kingsville at 09:03. American Courage arrived at 11:35. Cuyahoga returned from Kingsville and went to anchor.
Sandusky:  H. Lee White arrived at 20:26 to load at Norfolk Southern.
Cleveland:  Fuldaborg left Thursday night for Detroit. American Courage departed for Marblehead at 02:47. Mesabi Miner arrived at 04:50. Loaded to winter draft, she had 57,000 tons for the Bulk Terminal. She departed for Superior at 14:50. Leaving for Bowmanville at 15:44 was Petite Forte/St.Marys Cement. G tug New York arrived at 16:26. Prentiss Brown/St. Mary’s Challenger went to the St. Mary’s Columbus St. terminal at 06:02. After unloading she left for Charlevoix at 17:13. Polsteam’s Iryda arrived at 18:51 and went to dock 24W. Sharon MI/Huron Spirit arrived at 19:53 and is at dock 24N. Sea Eagle II/St.Marys Cement II arrived at 20:10 to unload at the Jefferson St terminal.
Fairport Harbor: Defiance/Ashtabula arrived at 04:32 with stone for Osborne. The combo left for Calcite at 14:22.
Ashtabula:  G tug New York departed at 09:47 for Cleveland.
Conneaut:  Edgar B. Speer arrived at the P&C dock at 16:26.
Erie:  Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived at 08:53 to unload at Carmeuse. She left for Cleveland at 16:21.
Nanticoke: Algoma Hansa went to Imperial Oil at 04:43. Algonorth departed for Sarnia at 14:31. Algoterra is anchored off of Port Dover.

Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
Update/correction: Some sort of problem occurred with the Algoma Buffalo’s boom last Saturday and they were not able to unload the boat here after arriving at 6AM. The Buffalo then departed, still full of salt, for Goderich around 12 Noon and headed straight out to the lake. On December 1st, the Algoma Compass arrived at 2:20PM from Goderich and made the same exact move as the Buffalo to unload salt into the dome in Lackawanna. After a successful operation, she then departed light for Goderich around Midnight.
