Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Great Republic arrived at 08:18 (CST) Monday morning with limestone for CN-Hallett #5. Whistler arrived at 16:51 to load wheat at CHS#1. Federal Clyde departed at 19:49 empty for Thunder Bay. Gardno arrived at 20:14 to load wheat at Riverland Ag. As of Tuesday evening, Great Republic was loading at CN#6 while Gardno was loading at Riverland Ag. Great Republic is estimated to depart sometime Tuesday night with iron ore pellets. James R. Barker is expected late-morning Wednesday to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Mesabi Miner is also due late-morning, but to load low sulfur coal at SMET. Finally, Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is expected early afternoon to load low sulfur coal at SMET; they might anchor on arrival to wait.
Superior Entry: CSL Tadoussac arrived at 18:13 (CST) Monday evening to load at BNSF; they departed at 09:14 Tuesday morning with iron ore pellets for Nanticoke. Stewart J. Cort arrived at 09:25 to load at BNSF. As of Tuesday evening, Stewart J. Cort was loading at BNSF while Whistler loaded at CHS#1. Stewart J. Cort is estimated to depart Tuesday night with iron ore pellets
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
Two Harbors saw the arrival of the Indiana Harbor on 12/07 at 10:45 for South of #2. The Edgar B. Speer went to anchor off Port Wing, WI mid-morning on 12/07. She is due to load in Two Harbors. Due Two Harbors on 12/08 are the Edwin H. Gott and the Joseph L. Block. The Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader is upbound Lake Superior. Her AIS hasn’t been updated, but I’ll assume she’s headed for Northshore Mining in Silver Bay.
Thunder Bay, ON
Sunday; 18:04 Frontenac arrived and went to anchor north of the Current River entrance. Monday; 14:41 Federal Ruhr arrived and went to anchor in the main anchorage. 17:08 Blair McKeil departed for Baie Comeau. 17:15 Algoma Strongfield arrived at the G3 elevator to load grain. 21:19 Saginaw arrived at the Superior Elevator to load grain. 22:56 Algoma Discovery arrived at the Richardson Current River Terminal to load grain. Tuesday; 8:38 CSL St Laurent finished loading at Viterra A and shifted to the main anchorage. 8:59 Frontenac weighed anchor and proceeded to Viterra A to load grain. 10:00 Federal Clyde arrived at the main anchorage.
Northern Lake Michigan
Charlevoix: Sunday; 20:51 Bradshaw McKee / St Marys Conquest departed and went to anchor in Suttons Bay to wait out the weather. Tuesday; 7:12 Bradshaw McKee / St Marys Conquest weighed anchor and proceeded south bound on Lake Michigan. 9:38 Prentiss Brown/ St Marys Challenger departed for Milwaukee.
Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Karen Andrie/Endeavour arrived Monday afternoon with liquid asphalt from BP’s Whiting refinery for the Construction Resources Management terminal. The pair headed back to Indiana Harbor Tuesday morning (12/07). After delivering steel at Federal Marine Terminals, Federal Baltic cleared for Thunder Bay at 21:31 Monday. USACE tugs Racine and Kenosha departed Tuesday morning.

Meldrum Bay: Tuesday; 7:56 Calumet arrived to load limestone. 14:03 Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson arrived and went to anchor.
Calcite: Tuesday; 4:19 American Mariner departed for Detroit. 5:05 Arthur M Anderson weighed anchor and proceeded to the dock to load limestone.8:21 Sam Laud arrived to load limestone.
Stoneport: Tuesday; 11:28 Kaye E Barker arrived to load limestone. 17:27 CSL Laurentian arrived and went to anchor.
Alpena: Tuesday; 14:15 G L Ostrander / Integrity arrived at the Lafarge plant to load cement products.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Niagara arrived 5.27pm Tuesday loading at Compass Minerals. Niagara’s 10th appearance in Goderich this season. Andean continues at elevators. Algoma Sault and Algoma Buffalo expected in that order.
Lake Erie Ports for Tuesday – Bill Kloss
Monroe: Paul R. Tregurtha arrived at 05:07 with a partial coal load for DTE. She left at 17:54 for Superior.
Toledo: Molly M1 departed at 14:07 with ASC’s St. Clair in tow. Headed to Port Colborne, the St. Clair will be delivered to International Marine Salvage for scrapping.
Marblehead: American Courage departed for Lorain.
Sandusky: Lee A, Tregurtha arrived at 09:42. Algoma Transport left with coal for Clarkson.at 21:00.
Lorain: American Courage arrived with stone for Carmeuse at 10:55. She left at 20:56.
Cleveland: Sea Eagle II/St. Marys Cement II left at 14:44. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder is loading salt at Cargill. New York/Double Skin 509A departed for Detroit at 18:49.
Ashtabula: Olive L. Moore/Menominee departed for Alpena at 12:40.
Conneaut: No activity in Conneaut today.
Erie: John J. Boland departed for Port Inland at 09:15.
Nanticoke: Algonorth arrived at Imperial Oil at 14:28. Algoma Hansa departed for Tracy. Algoterra and Algonova are at anchor. The Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin arrived to unload at Stelco at 12:34.
