Duluth-Superior Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: American Century departed at 21:17 (CST) Thursday night with low sulfur coal for St. Clair. Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin arrived at 22:52 to load petroleum coke at SMET. Wilfred Sykes departed at 02:36 Friday morning with iron ore pellets for Indiana Harbor. James R. Barker arrived at 07:00 to take a delay at Port Terminal before shifting to load at SMET. Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin departed at 13:12 with petroleum coke for Picton. Mesabi Miner arrived at 13:45 to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Paul R. Tregurtha arrived at 19:35 to fuel then load low sulfur coal at SMET. Paul R. Tregurtha departed at 10:45 Saturday morning with low sulfur coal for St. Clair. Mesabi Miner departed at 13:13 with iron ore pellets for Toledo. As of Saturday night, no vessels were in port on the Duluth side. Indiana Harbor is expected Sunday morning to load low sulfur coal at SMET; they may anchor depending on the James R. Barker’s departure. James R. Barker has an unknown departure time due to a delay at the dock. 
Superior Entry: Michipicoten departed at 13:41 (CST) Friday afternoon with iron ore pellets for Sault Ste. Marie. Stewart J. Cort arrived at 14:04 to load at BNSF; they departed at 14:35 Saturday afternoon with iron ore pellets for Burns Harbor. CSL Tadoussac arrived at 15:06 to load at BNSF. As of Saturday night, CSL Tadoussac was loading at BNSF while James R. Barker was loading at SMET; Manitoulin was waiting outside Superior to load after CSL Tadoussac. CSL Tadoussac is estimated to depart Saturday night with iron ore pellets; Manitoulin should arrive once they depart. American Mariner is expected Sunday night to load at BNSF. 

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
The Edgar B. Speer departed Two Harbors on 01/01 at 08:20 for Gary. Arriving Two Harbors on 01/01 at 09:19 was the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. Still anchored off Duluth for Two Harbors is the Defiance/Ashtabula. Due Two Harbors on 01/02 is the Great Republic. She had been hugging the Upper Michigan coast line, but did anchor overnight on 01/01 in Bete Grise Bay. She did get underway the afternoon of 01/01. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the departure of the Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader on 12/31 at 21:21. As of 18:00 on 01/01 she doesn’t have an updated AIS. As of 18:00 on 01/01 the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader was still at the loading dock. Silver Bay has no inbound traffic scheduled for 01/02.

Thunder Bay, ON 
Thursday; 21:29 Frontenac departed for Port Colborne.

Northern Lake Huron 
Parry Sound: Friday; 16:36 Cuyahoga arrived to unload road salt and at 23:06 departed for Port Colborne.
Owen Sound: Friday; 17:57 Algoma Compass arrived for winter layup along the east wall. 
Alpena: Friday; 14:46 Herbert C Jackson departed the Lafarge plant and went to anchor. 14:56 Calumet arrived at the Lafarge plant to unload. 15:25 Samuel De Champlain / Innovation arrived at the Lafarge plant to load cement products and departed at 23:24 for Essexville. 23:03 Calumet departed for Detroit. 23:57 Herbert C Jackson proceeded to the Lafarge plant to finish unloading and departed Saturday at 11:10 for Marquette.

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Saginaw cleared 19:02 Thursday evening downbound for Sandusky. Algoma Sault was tied up and stored along the North wall in the basin. Algoma Innovator stopped to refuel in Sarnia.  Algoma Buffalo is expected next.

Saginaw River – Todd Shorkey
Samuel de Champlain – Innovation arrived on the Saginaw River New Year’s Day morning, becoming the first vessel of 2022 to call here.  The pair traveled up to the Lafarge Cement Dock in Essexville.  This is also the first commercial delivery to the Saginaw River since December 14th, when Calumet called on the Sargent Dock in Zilwaukee.

Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Monroe: Florence Spirit departed for Thunder Bay at 00:37 and Lee A. Tregurtha for Duluth at 04:17.
Sandusky:  CSL Niagara and Algoma Transport are at Norfolk Southern while Saginaw remains anchored. 
Cleveland:  Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson left late Friday night for Two Harbors and Dirk S.VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader departed at 02:10 for Silver Bay. McKeil Spirit arrived at 09:54 to unload at Lehigh Cement. 
Conneaut:  John G. Munson left for Two Harbors. Olive L. Moore/Menominee arrived at 19:55.
Nanticoke:  Algonorth is at Imperial Oil.
