Northern Lake Michigan 
Straits of Mackinac: Tuesday; USCG Katmai Bay and  Algoma Niagara were encountering heavy ice conditions in Lake Michigan. At 13:30 Algoma Niagara stopped. USCG Katmai Bay continued ice operations until 17:48. Algoma Sault for Sarnia had been at anchor west of High Island since Saturday, departed at 13:24, sailed north and went to anchor at 17:19 between Port Inland and Lansing Shoal. 17:17 Algoma Intrepid with a load of road salt for Milwaukee stopped in Lake Huron north of Bois Blanc Island  to await escort to Lake Michigan. Wednesday; 7:45 USCG Katmai Bay resumed ice operations. 12:40 Algoma Sault was underway to the south and stopped at 13:51 west of Algoma Niagara’s position.  15:54 USCG Biscayne Bay arrived at US Coast Guard Station St Ignace. 18:567 USCG Katmai Bay stopped between the two Algoma boats in Lake Michigan.

Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Karen Andrie/Endeavour arrived from Indiana Harbor at 12:16 Wednesday with liquid asphalt for the Construction Resources Management terminal. This is the pair’s second visit to Milwaukee in 2022.

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
No traffic today. Algoma Niagara cleared 18:50 Monday evening upbound for Milwaukee with salt.

Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Algonorth left Nanticoke late Tuesday night for Sarnia. Neah Bay is escorting her through western Lake Erie and Griffon will escort her to Sarnia.
