Straits of Mackinac: Monday; 8:09 Algoma Niagara for Milwaukee crossed the Straits of Mackinac into Lake Michigan. She stopped north of Hog Island after encountering heavy ice conditions. 11:13 USCG Biscayne Bay arrived from the St Marys River and crossed the Straits of Mackinac. She is conducting ice operations to assist Algoma Niagara. 15:54 Algoma Niagara had gotten through the area of thick lake ice and was underway for Milwaukee. USCG Biscayne Bay changed course and departed for St Ignace.

Algonorth departed Nanticoke at 14:30 Monday for Sarnia.
