Algoma tanker AlgoCanada remained at the Purvis Dock in the lower harbor on Tuesday, possibly due to weather.
Milwaukee, WI
Algoma Niagara arrived at 08:20 Tuesday carrying salt from Compass Minerals, Goderich. With G-Tug North Dakota breaking ice, Niagara backed into the inner harbor and tied up at the salt dock. This is Niagara’s second visit, and the fifth load of salt from Goderich in 2022.
Northern Lake Michigan
Straits of Mackinac: Tuesday; 10:39 Algoma Intrepid for Chicago crossed the Straits of Mackinac into Lake Michigan. 12:04 She stopped in the fast ice north of Waugoshance Point probably to wait out the weather on Lake Michigan.
Goderich – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Intrepid cleared 04.09 early Monday morning upbound for Chicago with salt. Algoma Sault was loading at Compass Minerals. Algoma Niagara has cleared Milwaukee but it is not clear if she’s coming back to Goderich.
