Thursday; 11:38 USCG Mobile Bay was underway to escort Algoma Niagara to the Straits of Mackinac. 17:16 Algoma Sault for Chicago crossed the Straits of Mackinac and stopped south of Saint Helena Island to allow Algoma Niagara to pass and await escort. 17:07 USCG Mobile Bay stopped east of Algoma Sault. 18:52 Algoma Niagara crossed the Straits of Mackinac to Lake Huron and departed for Sarnia.
