Straits of Mackinac; Friday; USCG Mackinaw continued ice operations USCG Mobile Bay arrived to conduct ice operations and stopped at 21:02 north of Garden Island. Saturday; 1:47 Algoma Sault for Chicago crossed the Straits of Mackinac and stopped west of the Mackinac Bridge to await escort. 8:34 USCG Mackinaw escorted Algoma Sault west. When the escort was completed USCG Mackinaw changed course for Mackinaw City, arriving there at 18:14. USCG Mobile Bay began escorting Karen Andrie and her barge east to the Straits of Mackinac. 20:50 Karen Andre crossed the Straits of Mackinac and went to anchor north of Bois Blanc Island at 21:50 for weather. 21:02 USCG Mobile Bay arrived at US Coast Guard Station St Ignace.

Dorothy-Ann/Pathfinder got underway Sunday to begin the 2022 shipping season. She will stay in the Cleveland area doing shuttle runs of ore from out at the Bulk Terminal to a dock down the Cuyahoga River.
