Duluth-Superior – Joshua Hebeisen
Following a schedule swap with her sister Mesabi Miner, James R. Barker arrived Duluth at 16:33 for a load of ore at CN 6. The Miner will now cover the Barker’s original orders at Two Harbors. This evening, American Mariner and Ocean Castle both departed under the Aerial Lift Bridge with wheat; the Mariner left at 18:38 with an unlisted destination (likely Buffalo), while the Ocean Castle cleared the piers at 19:47 bound for Montreal and eventually a port overseas. The two vessels had been loading at Gavilon Grain in Superior and Riverland Ag. in Duluth, respectively. John D. Leitch is still unloading salt at Compass Minerals in Duluth, and is scheduled to shift across the harbor for BNSF 5 after Presque Isle finishes loading ore at that dock. The latter is expected to arrive via the Superior Entry this evening, but currently appears to be angled towards the Duluth side of the harbor.
