The residents of the Sturgeon Point, NY area got a surprise on October 15th. The 430-foot cruise ship LE BELLOT dropped anchor off shore just East of the point to wait out some bad weather that morning. Then, during the afternoon the 656-foot salt water ship FEDERAL ASAHI arrived from Toledo and began doing “weather patterns” off shore while waiting to enter the Welland canal.
