Marquette, MI – Oggdo Bogdo
The Herbert C. Jackson concluded its visit with a 01:13 departure. She will closely follow her fleet mate Lee A. Tregurtha on her way to Dearborn to unload. The latter took a delay around De Tour, so despite Herbie leaving Marquette nearly 12 hours later, she is caught up to the Tregurtha. The American Courage arrived for just the second time this season at 11:58. Further ahead, the Interlake family of classic lakers will be all accounted for in this Marquette entry, as both the Hon. James L. Oberstar and the Kaye E. Barker will make arrivals in the next day or so. A whole lotta black and orange stacks at the ore docks.

Sturgeon Bay, WI – Joshua Hebeisen
The scheduled tow of the Roger Blough was put on hold Wednesday, reportedly rescheduled to Thursday. It is believed that tugs Candace Elise and Meredith Ashton will eventually be taking the fire-damaged laker to Conneaut for continued layup.

Alpena, MI – Jason Luther
This morning, 7:04, saw the steamer Alpena back at her namesake port after a quick turnaround from Green Bay to load cement at LaFarge.

Right around lunch time the tall ship Inland Seas, on her way to Suttons Bay, made an about-face just past Presque Isle to take shelter at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary for the night. Giving the crew a much needed rest from the strong seas, and a warm shower.

Later in the afternoon, M/V Great Republic sought refuge on the lee side of North Point in Thunder Bay on her way to Port Dolomite.
