Marquette, MI – Oggdo Bogdo
Victory/Maumee had a quick turnaround on Thursday, inbound at 08:19 and out by 15:08 for a sub-7 hour load. The duo will head to Toledo next with the ore. A few hours later the Lee A. Tregurtha arrived at 19:44. Two of her fleet mates are due to follow, the Kaye E. Barker and Hon. James L. Oberstar.
Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Algoma Compass arrived at 04:17 Thursday with deicing salt from Compass Minerals, Goderich. After dropping her cargo on a dockside discharge pad, she departed at 14:32. Bradshaw McKee St. Marys Conquest arrived from Charlevoix at 07:16 with cement for the Kinnickinnic River terminal. Federal Nagara was still at the Federal Marine Terminals dock unloading steel from Antwerp. Federal Champlain arrived from Burns Harbor Tuesday and went to anchor waiting for Federal Nagara to vacate the slip. Federal Champlain carries steel from IJmuiden, Netherlands.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Toledo, OH: Her bow thruster repairs completed, Herbert C. Jackson departed at 07:38 for Rogers City, MI. Federal Katsura arrived at 09:05 and CSL Niagara at 14:05.
Sandusky, OH: Saginaw departed with coal for Sault Ste. Marie at 07:13. Sam Laud arrived at Norfolk Southern at 10:46. Frontenac remains anchored.
Cleveland, OH: Finished with a shuttle, Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder moved to Cargill to load salt. Sam Laud left for Sandusky at 06:06. The venerable Cuyahoga arrived at 14:02 with stone for Shelly Materials. American Courage is back on the shuttles.
Buffalo, NY: Defiance/Ashtabula departed for Stoneport at 14:15.
Nanticoke, OH: CSL’s Baie Comeau arrived at Stelco at 06:04 with ore. Leonard M/ Huron Spirit departed at 11:34. Harbour Fountain arrived at 07:12 and anchored along with Paul A. Desgagnes, Algocanada and Algoma Hansa. Algosea is at Imperial Oil.
