Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
DEFIANCE – ASHTABULA came back with another split load of sand on the 29th of December. The VERMONT came down to the lake at 3:30PM, went out the North Entrance, and then led the way in for them at the South Entrance, breaking ice ahead on the way to Gateway Metroport. The ASHTABULA was docked on the North end of the West Pier for unloading the first part of their sand cargo from Brevort, MI. At 8PM the DEFIANCE backed her big barge out to the harbor, winded, and headed back out to the lake. They then came in the North Entrance and met the VERMONT on their way up to the CSI landing to finish off the second part of a split load.
