Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Algoma Intrepid arrived at 22:15 Monday with deicing salt from Compass Minerals, Goderich. She tied up at the open dock in south slip one of the outer harbor. At Seaway Draft (26’- 6”), Intrepid carries 24,100 metric tons. After discharging her cargo, she headed back to Goderich Tuesday afternoon. Vessels currently in port for winter: Prentiss Brown/St. Marys Challenger at the St. Marys Kinnickinnic River terminal, Albert/Margaret at the St. Marys Badger plant dock, Stewart J. Cort at the Heavy Lift Dock, and GL Ostrander/Integrity at Lafarge. Michigan/Great Lakes has been laid up at the southeast end of the mooring basin since April 2, 2022.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Conveyor cleared 20:22 Monday upbound for Chicago with salt. Algoma Innovator arrived 19:39 Monday loading at Compass Minerals.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
February 2
Algoma Tankers are presently the only boats sailing on Lake Erie. Algosea loaded petroleum products and departed for Sarnia, ON while fleetmate Algonova anchored off of Port Dover. Algoterra anchored off of Kingsville, ON and is on her way to Nanticoke.
February 1
New York/Double Skin 509A is at the Port of Monroe, MI dock unloading asphalt. Iver Bright departed yesterday for Sarnia. John J. Boland arrived in Ashtabula for layup. Algosea remains at Imperial Oil in Nanticoke, ON.
January 31
The only activity on Lake Erie was Algocanada departing with gasoline for Milwaukee, WI. Algosea remains at Imperial Oil.
January 30
A slow day on Lake Erie today. Algoterra departed for Sarnia, ON with petroleum products and Algosea is at Imperial Oil.
