St. Marys River – Joshua Hebeisen
No rest for the weary! USCGC Mobile Bay was back underway from U.S. Coast Guard Station Sault Ste. Marie at 13:10 Sunday, heading downbound to break ice along the entirety of the St. Marys River before anchoring for the night near the Twin Island Nature Preserve. She is likely waiting to assist the upbound tug/barge combo Leonard M/Huron Spirit due to transit the area on Monday morning.
Port Huron, MI – Sarnia, ON – Joshua Hebeisen
Finished sciencing on Lake Huron, CCGS Samuel Risley hauled up anchor and proceeded inbound to Sarnia’s Government Dock at 09:58. Algocanada would make a brief stop in port at 16:03, arriving for the specialty products dock before continuing on her journey to Milwaukee, WI, less than 2 hours later. Her fellow Algoma Tankers tanker Algoterra spent the day lounging at the lower dock.

Iver Bright remained at the Mistersky Fuel Dock on Sunday delivering product from Sarnia, ON.
Amherstburg, ON – Joshua Hebeisen
CCGSs Griffon and Judy LaMarsh returned to the Canadian Coast Guard Amherstburg Base from their icebreaking duties at 06:46 and 19:46, respectively. Griffon had been keeping things moving on Lake Erie, while the LaMarsh had ventured upbound to Sarnia, ON, and eventually Goderich, ON, over the past several days.

First boat of the season to leave layup is Interlake’s Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder as the combo departed Toledo for Cleveland. She will be loading shuttles for the Cliffs mill on the Cuyahoga River. Still in Nanticoke are the Harvest Spirit at Stelco and Algosea at Imperial Oil.

Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder departed layup at C&O 3 Sunday morning and is headed to Cleveland, probably for ore shuttles.
