Two Harbors, MN – Silver Bay, MN – Gary Putney
Edgar B. Speer arrived Two Harbors at 15:47 on June 8 and departed at 03:29 on June 9 for the Gary Works. Due Two Harbors on 6/10 are the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. and the Edgar B. Speer.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Monroe, MI: Hon. James L. Oberstar arrived to unload coal at DTE. Still unloading is New York/Double Skin 509A. The Oberstar departed for Stoneport once empty.
Toledo, OH: Departing were Radcliffe R. Latimer to Port Daniel, QC, Manitoulin to Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader to Superior, WI. Arrivals were Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader to Ironville and CSL Assiniboine to Midwest Terminals.
Kingsville, ON: Robert S. Pierson arrived with stone for Southwestern Sales Co.
Marblehead, OH: Robert S. Pierson loaded stone and departed for Kingsville. Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson weighed anchor and went to the dock at Holcim.
Sandusky, OH: Hon. James L. Oberstar departed with coal for Monroe, MI. Victory/Maumee then moved under the loader at Norfolk Southern, loaded and departed for Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Next to load was Mark W. Barker on her first visit to Sandusky.
Cleveland, OH: Mark W. Barker departed for Sandusky after running a shuttle. Also leaving was Sam Laud for an unknown destination. At the Port are Federal Kivalina unloading steel coils and Happy River, loading containers and general cargo. NACC Alicudi arrived later in the day and docked at Holcim to unload her cargo of powdered cement.
Ashtabula, OH: Molly M1 and Ecosse delivered Cuyahoga to Conneaut Creek Ship Repair. The tugs departed for McKeil’s dock in Port Maitland, ON.
Buffalo, NY: Eider is unloading sugar at Sucro Sourcing and John J. Boland is at CSI Sands.
Nanticoke, ON: Algosea is loading at Imperial Oil.
Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
The John J. Boland made a sand delivery to CSI on the City Ship Canal on the 9th out of Brevort, MI. She arrived there without tugs at 05:00, unloaded all day, and backed out for the lake at 18:45.
