Duluth, MN – Superior, WI – David Schauer
Fast Eddie on the move… Although not so fast. Wednesday was moving day for the Edward L. Ryerson as Heritage Marine tug Edward H. and work tug Fraser 1 repositioned the laker from its previous location along a working wall to the Cumming Slip along the west side of Fraser Shipyards near the Blatnik Bridge, a spot it has occupied before. There are still no confirmed plans for her, despite lots of rumors and continued hopes to have her sail again.
Two Harbors, MN – Gary Putney
Michipicoten is currently loading at the Two Harbors shiploader as of Wednesday night.
Silver Bay, MN – Gary Putney
Stewart J. Cort is currently loading once again at the Cliffs dock in Silver Bay. The Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader, after having loaded in Silver Bay, is heading East on Lake Superior for Toledo.
Drummond Island – Drummond, MI – Joshua Hebeisen
Herbert C. Jackson departed at 04:06 for Grand Haven, MI, where her cargo will be put ashore up the Grand River at Ferrysburg, MI.
Port Dolomite – Cedarville, MI – Joshua Hebeisen
American Mariner departed at 12:57 for Superior, WI. Her not-so-distant relative Joseph L. Block took over at Carmeuse Cedarville around 19:00.
St. Joseph, MI – Benton Harbor, MI – Michael Moran
Tug George F. Bailey arrived off the piers with barges around 02:00 Wednesday morning but delayed entry due to weather and darkness, sheltering South of the South Pier. They finally entered the harbor just before 07:00. This tug and her barges from Great Lakes Dock and Material are coming to dredge the inner harbor.
While the tug wasn’t met with donuts as they arrived, the plan is to do a “donut day” once the project starts where everyone in the project, from tug crew to deck hands to crane operator to truck drivers, all are gifted donuts as thanks.
Manistee, MI – Filer City, MI – Chris Franckowiak
Manitowoc loaded stone overnight in Port Inland, MI, and arrived Manistee late Wednesday morning. She discharged at Rieth-Riley and was outbound through downtown around 19:00, headed to Meldrum Bay, ON to load stone for Holland, MI. The ship is scheduled back to Manistee around August 27, with coal for the TES – Filer City plant.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Compass cleared at 03:05 Sunday upbound for Escanaba with salt. Algoma Conveyor cleared at 02:46 Tuesday downbound for Ogdensburg with salt. Algoma Innovator cleared at 18:15 Tuesday upbound for Ferrysburg with salt. Federal Rideau arrived at 18:34 Tuesday and is at the elevators. Algoma Intrepid arrived at 13:18 Wednesday and is loading at Compass Minerals.

Departing were American Century to Duluth and New York/Double Skin 509A to Detroit. Arriving late Wednesday night was Paul R. Tregurtha with coal for DTE.
Toledo, OH – Bill Kloss
Departing were Saginaw to Sault Ste. Marie with coal, Prentiss Brown/St. Marys Challenger to Charlevoix and Evans Spirit to Sarnia.
Lorain, OH – Bill Kloss
Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader delivered limestone to Carmeuse.
Cleveland, OH – Bill Kloss
American Courage is running the shuttles for Cliffs.

CSL Tadoussac is loading at Morton Salt.
Lackawanna, NY – Buffalo, NY – Tonawanda, NY – Brian Wroblewski
The Defiance/Ashtabula were towed out by Vermont around 09:30 Wednesday morning.

Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin arrived with coal for Stelco. Algoterra to Port Colborne, ON. Algosea and Algonova are both loading at Imperial Oil.
