Two Harbors, MN – Gary Putney
James R. Barker departed Two Harbors at approximately 19:00 for 7H at Indiana Harbor. The next traffic I see for Two Harbors is the Gott that’s upbound at Port Huron.
Marquette, MI – Noah H.
The Kaye Barker was at the ore dock yesterday followed by the American Spirit. Today the American Spirit is still at the dock loading. Tonight, the Erie Trader is due into the ore dock. After today, the next ships due in are the Lee Tregurtha and the Kaye Barker on Saturday followed by the Joseph Block on Sunday.
Toledo, OH – Bill Kloss
Departing were Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader to Calcite and Algoma Niagara to Goderich. Arriving was Evans Spirit, going to Midwest Terminals.
Cleveland, OH – Bill Kloss
Departing were Algoma Buffalo with salt for Toronto and Petite Forte/St. Marys Cement to Bath, ON. Arrivals were Federal St. Laurent to Dock 24W at the Port to unload steel and Polsteam’s Gardno with steel coils and skids to Dock 24E. Celina is berthed at Dock 26W with steel and American Courage continues on the shuttles for Cliffs.
Ashtabula, OH – Bill Kloss
Federal Mayumi is unloading at the Pinney Dock and CSL St. Laurent remains anchored.
Conneaut, OH – Bill Kloss
Indiana Harbor departed to Detroit for fuel at Misterskys.
Buffalo, NY – Lackawanna, NY – Tonawanda, NY – Brian Wroblewski
Algoma Compass came back again with more salt from Goderich for Gateway Metroport in Lackawanna on the night of August 21 at 23:00. She came straight in, unloaded on the bulk pile at the North end of the pier, and was all set to go the next morning.
At 08:00 on August 22, Algoma Compass dropped lines, backed all the way out through the South Entrance, and winded in the open lake off the breakwall. She departed Buffalo for a short stop at the Port Colborne Anchorage before moving on to Nanticoke, Ont. later that day.
Nanticoke, ON – Bill Kloss
Departures were Edwin H. Gott to Two Harbors, Algonova with petroleum products for Sarnia and Algosea to Tracy, PQ. Algoma Compass is at Stelco.
