ST. MARYS RIVER – Know Your Ships-Roger LeLievre
It was a windy Sunday on the St. Marys River but that didn’t stop boat traffic. The Herbert C. Jackson was upbound before dusk with a cargo of sand from Brevort, MI, for the new Soo Lock project, preceded by the American Mariner headed for Algoma Steel. The downbound G3 Marquis sounded off with two salutes at the Rock Cut in the early afternoon.
TOLEDO, OHIO– Bill Kloss
Arriving on Sunday were Canfornav’s Blacky going to Andersons and Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader with ore for Ironville. Wilf Seymour/Alouette Spirit departed with a destination of Detroit.
CLEVELAND, OHIO– Bill Kloss
On a rare trip to Cleveland, ASC’s Burns Harbor delivered ore to the Bulk Terminal. Her previous visit was over a year ago. The footer departed for Duluth once empty. The classic Wilfred Sykes entered the Cuyahoga River in the morning with stone for the Cliffs mill. Sam Laud is loading a shuttle for Cliffs.
LORAIN, OHIO– Bill Kloss
Lorain, OH: A late evening arrival was Joyce L.VanEnkevort/Great LakesTrader with stone to discharge at Carmeuse.
GRAND RIVER, OHIO – FAIRPORT, OHIO– Bill Kloss
Fairport Harbor: CSL’s Frontenac arrived at Morton Salt to load.
ASHTABULA, OHIO-Bill kloss
American Courage is berthed at the Norfolk Southern dock.
LACKAWANNA, NEW YORK-Brian Wroblewski
The NIAGARA departed Lackawanna with her load of coal for Hamilton at 10AM on the 12th.
NANTICOKE, ONTARIO-Bill Kloss
Algoberta is loading at Imperial Oil while fleetmate Algocanada and Everlast/NormanMacLeod are at anchor.
