Harvest Spirit left for Thunder Bay. In port is Algoma Niagara and Clyde S.VanEnkevort/Erie Trader. Joining the VanEnkevort ATB at Torco is Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great LakesTrader.
MARBLEHEAD, OHIO-Bill Kloss
American Courage arrived to load limestone at Holcim
SANDUSKY, OHIO-Bill Kloss
Algoma Transport arrived at Norfolk Southern to load coal.
CLEVELAND, OHIO-Bill Kloss
Departures were Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder to Milwaukee with salt, Sharon MI/Huron Spirit to Courtright and American Courage to Marblehead. Arriving was Sea Eagle II/St.Marys Cement II, going to the St.Marys Jefferson St. facility to unload.
NANTICOKE, ONTARIO-Bill Kloss
Weighing anchor were Whitefish Bay going to Stelco and Algoterra going to Imperial Oil. Also at Stelco is the ITB Presque Isle with ore to unload.

The tug New York arrived with her asphalt barge DS-509A on November 21st at 9AM. They went down the Black Rock Canal for Suite Kote in Tonawanda, clearing the lock at 10:45. Next up was a return by the John J. Boland at 3PM on the 22nd. Due to unfavorable weather, fog, and water levels, she went to anchor out by the Safe Water Beacon for the rest of the afternoon. Around 8PM conditions cleared up and they came in with a load of sand for CSI on the City Ship Canal.The Boland was done unloading and backed down the City Ship Canal from CSI and then moored at the General Mills Frontier Elevator. After a 45 minute stop at the Frontier elevator (for some unknown reason) the BOLAND began backing into the Watson Basin around 9:15. The Captain slowed down and used her thrusters with some help from a strong wind to basically slide sideways to port and center the boat at mid-channel off the Naval Park so they could make the next turn. Once he was in the right position, they continued to back out, taking her stern south in the Outer Harbor and coming to a stop off the Coast Guard Station. The wind was whipping waves right over the breakwall so the ship was having some trouble getting the bow to come around. The Captain then decided to back up some more (off Times Beach) and get completely inside the protection of the wall. From there, he was able to get the bow around and they made a run for the North Entrance, heading out onto an angry Lake Erie at 10:25AM, bound for Sandusky. On a historic note, that short stop at the Frontier dock was the 1st time the BOLAND had ever tied up there.
