Fednav adds  Federal Ohio to its Laker-class fleet

Fednav Ltd. of Montreal has added another new vessel, Federal Ohio (IMO 9975399). built in 2024 at the Oshima Shipbuilding Ltd. shipyard in Oshima, Japan. This is the first time that Fednav Ltd. has named one of its vessels after the state of Ohio.

Federal Ohio is 199.98 meters in length and around 23.760 meters in width, or 656 feet in length and 78 feet in width. The vessel has four large cranes on its deck for unloading cargo or loading. The Federal Ohio is part of Fednav’s fleet renewal program that has since added three new ships prior to the addition of the Federal Ohio.
