BAIE COMEAU, up, ballast, for Meldrum Bay.
12:05 ALGOMA BUFFALO, up, ballast, for Cleveland.
12:54 ALGOTITAN, up ballast, for Nanticoke.
14:52 MARIA G, up, for Hamilton.
FRONTENAC arrived at Johnstown to unload cargo.
Note: FEDERAL CARIBOU remains anchored at Grassy Island below Cornwall.
BUFFALO,NEW YORK [USBUF]-Brian Wroblewski
Around 6AM on the 20th the CMT OTTER got underway from Tonawanda pushing the HOFFMAN ahead and secured at the Black Rock Lock Lower Tie Up Wall around 8:30AM. They waited for the lock to open at 11AM and then proceeded down to the park with the second load. Later that afternoon, the OTTER headed back down the Black Rock Canal and secured at the Lower Tie Up Wall again for the night.
7/21/2024 The GREAT REPUBLIC came in with another load of sand for CSI at 2AM on July 21st. Ryba’s tugs moved their dredge equipment out of the way in the Watson Basin to allow her to pass and moved it back to the work site off the Naval Park when she was clear. The ship arrived off the sand wharf around 3AM, unassisted and began unloading slightly after. The REPUBLIC was all done unloading and ready to back out at 1PM so the Captain asked the Ryba tugs to clear up again, which they promptly did. Then, a bow thruster problem caused a delay and the dredge crews went back to work while the REPUBLIC secured in the center of channel off the ADM warehouse with lines out to the sand wharf.
