The steamer PHILLIP R. CLARKE came in with sand from Brevort on the afternoon of the 29th. She arrived around 3PM and went up to CSI on the City Ship Canal without tugs. The Captain blew multiple salutes to all the people lined up along the way, waving and shouting to them. The CLARKE unloaded for about 10 hours and then backed out for the harbor around 2AM on the morning of the 30th. She winded off the Erie Basin and departed the North Entrance bound for Stoneport, MI.

Specialty contractor Wren Works assisted in removing the damaged portion of the M/V Joseph L. Block’s unloading boom Tuesday for movement to Fraser Shipyards. Presumably the damaged section will be repaired/replaced by Fraser and/or their sister company Northern Engineering.
