Algoma Spirit scrap tow scheduled for early Monday departure
Montreal, QC – Piri, ex-Algoma Spirit, is expected to leave Montreal for scrapping in Turkey, this morning, Aug. 2, under tow of the saltwater tug V.B. Hispania. Piri is now reglistred in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, a state of West Africa, on the Atlantic. The tow will be assisted by the Picton, ON, tug Sheri Lynn S.

Ojibway back in service after lay-up
Sarnia, ON – Sunday morning, August 1, Ojibway left Sarnia after a two-month lay-up. She was downbound light on the St. Clair River showing a destination of Hamilton.
