Mississagi scrapping update
Sault Ste. Marie, ON – Images on social media this week show scrapping is proceeding on the 1943-built vessel Mississagi at the Purvis west dock near Algoma Steel. She has been turned so her stern is at the end of the slip and her forward superstructure and unloading boom have been removed. Mississagi arrived, under tow, for breakup October 10, 2021.
