Ice Hampers BayShip Winter Arrivals
Tugs and icebreakers braved sub-zero temps Monday to get two 1,000-footers through the ice and into BayShip for winter layup. The tugs Jimmy L and Donald J Sarter, the USCG Mackinaw and USCG Mobile Bay all worked hard to get the 1,000 footers James R. Barker and Paul R. safely docked, however it looks like the both are going to sit the night in the bay. They are going to move the Cort early in the morning out of the dock she is berthed at to make room.
