Scrap tow tug heads for Montreal, probably for Algoma Spirit
A fairly well-known ocean tug on the St. Lawrence River, the VB Hispania, left Vigo, Spain Saturday morning for Montreal to presumably pick up the Algoma Spirit, which has been renamed Piri for the overseas trip, destination Aliaga, Turkey for recycling. The estimated date for the VB Hispania in Montreal is July 31. According to Transport Canada, Algoma Spirit’s registry has yet to be closed.
