Great Lakes’ water levels aren’t doing what they are supposed to – rise in summer
The Great Lakes are in a period of the year when their water levels usually rise. But all of the Great Lakes are not rising or just barely rising. This is a continued sign that for the current time, the Great Lakes water levels are receding quickly from the record high levels over the past few years.
Instead of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron rising this spring and so far this early summer, the lakes have actually gone down 2.52 inches. This means Lakes Michigan and Huron are actually 13.20 inches lower than a normal year’s spring rise
