Norika Desgagnes was constructed in 2010 by Tianjin Xingang Shipyard of Tianjin, China as BBC Oder for Briese Schiffahrts GMBH & Co. KG (BBC Chartering) of Leer, Germany. She is 469′ 07″ long, 74′ 10″ wide, and 43′ 08″ deep, capable of carrying 12,936 tons, and equipped with two 250 metric ton and one 80 metric ton deck cranes. She is powered by a single B&W 6S46MC-C diesel engine, producing 9,482 BHP.

In 2010, she was acquired by the Groupe Desgagnes subsidiary Transport Desgagnes, and renamed Nordika Desgagnes. She continues to serve them in the Seaway general cargo trades.
