BUFFALO,NEW YORK [USBUF]-Brian Wroblewski
The tug NEW YORK came to a stop with her barge DS509A behind her on a wire off Windmill Point around 6:30PM on the 7th. She switched out of towing gear and notched up in the open lake. Once the tug was mated to her barge, NEW YORK got on the push for the Buffalo North Entrance. They headed South down the Outer Harbor and went to anchorage off the old Bell Slip for the night. About a half hour later, the venerable ARTHUR M. ANDERSON arrived right behind them and went up the Buffalo River to the CSI landing with out tug assistance with a load of sand out of Brevort.
