Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
The tug-barge New York – DS509A arrived on the stormy morning of the 11th at about 11 AM. Possibly due to the passing squalls, the captain decided to use Buffalo Outer Harbor, just inside the breakwall at the North end to switch his tow around this time. So far, since they have been running in here for about a year now, they have previously always used the open lake off Windmill Point. The tug Vermont met them at the Erie Basin and escorted them all the way down to the Suite Kote pier in Tonawanda, helping them wind and get tied up around 12:15 PM. They should be done unloading on the morning of the 12th with a departure time dependent on the weather.
