Duluth Entry: John D. Leitch arrived at 05:35 (CST) Wednesday morning to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. As of Wednesday afternoon, Polsteam’s Wicko was loading at Riverland Ag. Wicko is estimated to depart Wednesday night with wheat. American Century is expected early Thursday morning to load coal at SMET. Dirk S. VanEnkevort and Michigan Trader are expected mid-morning to unload limestone at Graymont. American Century is estimated to depart mid-afternoon with coal. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is expected late evening to load coal at SMET.
Superior Entry: No traffic has taken place since the last report. As of Wednesday after, John D. Leitch was loading at BNSF. The Leitch is estimated to depart Wednesday evening with iron ore pellets. Radcliffe R. Latimer is expected Thursday night to load iron ore pellets at BNSF.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
American Mariner departed Two Harbors on 8/18 at 18:20 for the Soo. Arriving Two Harbors on 8/18 at 19:05 was the CSL Niagara. Due Two Harbors on 8/19 is the Edgar B. Speer and possibly the Edwin H. Gott. Possibly due Two Harbors on 8/19 is American Spirit. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay should see Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader arrive after unloading stone in Marquette.

Tuesday; 18:27 The saltie Timgad finished unloading at Keefer Terminal and shifted to the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain. Wednesday; 10:12 Florence Spirit arrived at the Superior Elevator to load grain. 12:07 CSL St-Laurent arrived at Viterra A to load grain.

Port Inland: Tuesday; 19:47 Joseph L Block departed for Indiana Harbor. Wednesday; 6:46 Manitowoc arrived to load limestone and departed at 17:29 for the Straits of Mackinac.
Charlevoix: Wednesday; 8:01 Caroline McKee / Commander arrived to load cement products.

Calcite: Wednesday; 0:38 H Lee White arrived to load limestone. 1:18 Clyde S Van Enkevort / Erie Trader arrived to load limestone. 15:41 H Lee White departed for Ashtabula. Great Republic proceeded to the dock to load.
Stoneport: Wednesday; 0:44 Sam Laud departed for the Saginaw River. 13:29 Kaye E Barker arrived to load limestone.
Alpena: Wednesday; 9:27 GL Ostrander arrived to load cement products.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Buffalo arrived 1248 pm Wednesday loading at Compass Minerals. 100th vessel this season for salt and Buffalo’s 19th appearance here.
Lake Erie Ports for Wednesday – Bill Kloss
Marblehead: Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder left Tuesday night for Cleveland. Herbert C. Jackson arrived at 01:33, loaded stone and departed at 17:52.
Cleveland: Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived at 01:34 to unload at RiverDock. After unloading she went to Cargill to load salt. McKeil Spirit departed for Picton at 13:06. Defiance/Ashtabula arrived from Calcite at 1346 to unload stone at the Bulk Terminal. Manitou arrived with the submarine USS Cod at 17:36. Manitou departed at 19:50.
Erie: The tug Manitou departed at 08:43 with the submarine USS Cod in tow and headed to Cleveland at a leisurely 9-10 kph. The Cod had been in drydock at Don Jon for refurbishing.
Nanticoke: Presque Isle arrived at Stelco at 14:32.
Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
Algoma Innovator brought in a load of salt from Goderich on the 18th around 1:30 AM. She came in the South Entrance, winded with the thrusters, and backed up the Lackawanna Canal to the bulk unloading apron near the north end of the pier. She was all set by 9:30 AM and departed onto a stormy Lake Erie, bound for Goderich again. Later in the evening, the Ryba tug Kristen Joelle showed up with some empty hopper barges for the Gateway Metroport’s Union Ship Canal dock. They came straight in the South Entrance around 6 PM and tied up on the south wall below the Father Baker bridge for the night.
