Buffalo, NY – Brian Wroblewski
The 209-foot mega-yacht Scout was back on the morning of August 1st around 7:30AM. They went to anchorage off the breakwall at the North Entrance and launched their small boat with a deck crane. A couple guests were brought back to the Erie Basin and the ship spent a few hours sitting on the hooks in the lake waiting to depart the area after some storms blew through. While they were out there, the 224-foot training vessel State of Michigan came in past them for the Visiting Ship’s Dock on the Buffalo River. They tied up and secured there around 8:45AM. This former war machine was once the the USNS Persistence and hunted Russian subs during the Cold War days by scanning the deep ocean with sensitive sonar arrays towed from her stern. H Lee White should be arriving around 3-4PM Sunday for General Mills.
