Duluth Entry: Dirk S. VanEnkevort departed at 18:19 (CST) Thursday evening empty for Silver Bay. American Spirit arrived at 23:10 to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. arrived at 23:31 to load coal at SMET. Indiana Harbor arrived at 06:32 Friday morning to take a delay at Lakehead pipeline, waiting for American Spirit to clear CN#6. American Spirit departed at 13:59 with iron ore pellets for Cleveland. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. departed at 15:30 with coal for St. Clair. As of Friday evening, Indiana Harbor was loading at CN#6. Kaye E. Barker is expected Friday night to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5; Kaye E. Barker is estimated to depart early Saturday morning empty. Indiana Harbor is estimated to depart Saturday afternoon or evening with iron ore pellets.
Superior Entry: Radcliffe R. Latimer arrived at 23:26 (CST) Thursday night to load iron ore pellets at BNSF; they departed at 07:42 Friday morning with iron ore pellets for Grande Anse. Algoma Discovery arrived at 16:59 to load iron ore pellets at BNSF. As of Friday evening, Algoma Discovery was loading at BNSF’ they’re estimated to depart early Saturday with iron ore pellets. Algoma Harvester is expected Saturday afternoon to load iron ore pellets at BNSF.

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
Edgar B. Speer arrived Two Harbors on 00:37 on 8/20 and departed on the same date at 17:14 for Nanticoke. Arriving Two Harbors on 8/20 at 18:22 was the CSL Welland after being stopped off Duluth. Probably loading for Quebec City. The Indiana Harbor went to CN-Duluth after being scheduled for Two  Harbors. No Traffic is scheduled for Two Harbors on 8/21. Joyce L. VanEnkevort departed Northshore Mining on 8/20 at 02:29 for Toledo. Arriving Silver Bay on 8/20 at 02:43 was the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader. Due Silver Bay on 8/21 is the Mesabi Miner.

Thunder Bay, ON
Thursday; 7:47 The saltie Timgad departed for Ghent Belgium. 7:48 Manitoulin arrived at the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain. 14:36 Florence Spirit departed for Detroit. 18:08 CSL St Laurent departed for Montreal. 18:28 Manitoulin departed for Buffalo. Friday; 13:22 Fraserborg arrived and went to anchor. 15:11 Blair McKeil arrived at the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain.

Marquette, MI – Arthur Pickering
The Great Lakes Trader made a visit to the lower harbor to unload limestone on Wednesday. A correction from an earlier report: I wrote that the Grande Mariner was due in. It should have been American Mariner. Maumee arrived Friday morning and the American Mariner was due in Friday afternoon.  On Saturday, the Kaye E Barker is expected at 9 p.m.  Next Wednesday, Great Lakes Trader is expected at 1 a.m. followed by Herbert C Jackson at 9 a.m. and the James L Oberstar is due in the evening.

Northern Lake Michigan
Port Inland: Thursday; 14:08 Cuyahoga arrived to load limestone and departed at 23:54 for Spragge. Friday; 4:01 Joseph L Block arrived to load limestone and departed at 18:17 for Green Bay.Charlevoix: Thursday; 2:00 Caroline Mckee / Commander departed for Chicago. Bradshaw McKee / St Marys Challenger arrived to load cement products and departed Friday at 13:19 for Grand Haven.

Southern Lake Michigan – Stephen Sostaric
South Chicago: Caroline McKee/Commander arrived early Friday morning. Algoma Buffalo arrived in the Calumet River late Friday night headed for the Chicago Export Dock.
Buffington Harbor: Clyde S, Vanenkevort/Erie Trader arrived Friday morning to unload.
Gary: Arthur M. Anderson departed late morning headed for Drummond Island.
Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor: Stewart J. Cort departed midday Friday, making room for the Burns Harbor which had been anchored in the lake waiting her turn. Wilfred Sykes shifted to Burns Harbor from Indiana Harbor overnight. Calumet arrived overnight from Grand Haven, departing Friday night. Federal Weser shifted from South Chicago overnight. Ronnie continued to unload.

Northern Lake Huron
Drummond Island: Wednesday; 23:40 Michipicoten departed for Algoma Steel, Sault Ste Marie.
Bruce Mines: Thursday 23:56 Michipicoten arrived to load trap rock and departed Friday at 6:00 for Goderich.
Meldrum Bay: Friday 2:28 Baie  Comeau arrived and went to anchor. 5:59  Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson arrived to load limestone. 15:45 Saginaw arrived and went to anchor.
Cheboygan: Wednesday; 20:41The tug Michigan / tanker barge Great Lakes arrived to unload petroleum products and departed Thursday at 10:21 for Calcite.
Calcite: Wednesday; 20:26 Clyde S Van Enkevort / Erie Trader departed for Buffington. Thursday; 7:29 Great Republic departed for Detroit. 13:56 The tug Michigan / tanker barge Great Lakes arrived to unload diesel fuel and departed at 21:45 for Sarnia. Friday;13:10 Defiance / Ashtabula arrived to load limestone.
Stoneport: Thursday; 7:33 Kaye E Barker departed for Duluth Superior. 12:23 Sam Laud arrived to load limestone and departed Friday at 1:32 for Belle River. 9:38 Herbert C Jackson arrived to load limestone.
Alpena: Thursday; 13:07  GL Ostrander departed for Detroit. Friday; 9:58 The cement carrier Alpena arrived to load. 19:07 John J Boland arrived and went to anchor.

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Guardian arrived 6.20 pm Friday and is at the elevators. Michipicoten and Algoma Intrepid approaching.

Lake Erie Ports for Friday – Bill Kloss
Monroe:  Paul R.Tregurtha arrived to unload at DTE.
Cleveland:  Petite Forte/St.Mary’s Cement arrived at 17:56 and went to the St.Mary’s Jefferson St. terminal. James R. Barker was a late night arrival to the Bulk Terminal.
Fairport Harbor:  Manitowoc arrived at 12:20 with stone for Osborne. She unloaded and left for Toledo at 19:39.
Ashtabula:  H. Lee White unloaded and departed for Calcite at 08:03.
Conneaut:  American Integrity left for Duluth at 09:42.
Nanticoke:  Algosea arrived at Imperial Oil at 10:30 and Algocanada is still at the dock. CSL Tadoussac arrived at Stelco at 11:21. Also at Stelco, Olive L. Moore/Maumee arrived at 13:37. Frontenac arrived at 18:25 and anchored off of Port Dover.
