Marquette, MI – Noah H.
Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader departed for Indiana Harbor at 03:00 following a 16-hour load. The destination of Indiana Harbor is somewhat unusual, as the VTB vessels tend to deliver to Toledo or Cleveland. Next up was the Kaye E. Barker, checking in for a weekend stay at 22:18. After her will be fleet mate Lee A. Tregurtha and resident thousand-footer American Spirit, both due in the next day or two.
Holland, MI – Noah H.
After a stretch of little to no traffic of the laker variety, Saturday finally saw some action (in an unusual fashion). At 10:25, Manitowoc arrived from Muskegon following a partial unload of Meldrum Bay stone. Just as she began the long journey to the docks on the east side of Lake Macatawa, Interlake’s Herbert C. Jackson arrived at 10:47 to follow her, making for an uncommon Holland twofer. The Jackson also came from Meldrum Bay, and would first stop at the Verplank dock to partially unload. Later, in the evening, Manitowoc finished up and was outbound for Port Inland by 21:13. As soon as she vacated the dock, Herbie was quick to take her place to finish unloading. Her visit should conclude in the early morning.
Grand Haven, MI – Noah H.
River-class vessel Calumet arrived at 8:31, bringing aggregate from Indiana Harbor to the Verplank dock in Ferrysburg, as is common for her. This trip was business as usual, and she was outbound for Stoneport by 14:28. Steamer Wilfred Sykes is due next.
Muskegon, MI – Noah H.
Manitowoc arrived very early on Saturday, bringing stone from Meldrum Bay to Cobb Verplank at 01:35. This would be a partial unload, with the rest of the stone destined for Holland a few hours south. As such, the visit did not take too long, and she departed at 07:34. Uncommon visitor Saginaw is up next.
Monroe, MI – Bill Kloss
Mesabi Miner unloaded coal at DTE. She left for Duluth once empty, stopping for fuel at Mistersky in Detroit along the way.
Toledo, OH – Bill Kloss
Sam Laud arrived to load at CSX.
Marblehead, OH – Bill Kloss
Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived to load limestone at Holcim.
Sandusky, OH – Bill Kloss
CSL Niagara left with coal for Hamilton.
Cleveland, OH – Bill Kloss
American Integrity arrived to unload ore at the Bulk Terminal. Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader is anchored waiting for Integrity to unload. Fivelborg departed for Detroit.
Ashtabula, OH – Bill Kloss
Sam Laud had a quick stop, being in port for only 4 hours before leaving for Fairport Harbor to unload at Osborne. She then departed for Toledo once empty.

Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder unloaded at Carmeuse and then left for Marblehead.
Nanticoke, ON – Bill Kloss
Harvest Spirit arrived to load steel coils at Stelco while tanker Algotitan docked at Imperial Oil to load petroleum products.
