Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Hon. James L. Oberstar departed at 05:42 (CST) Monday morning empty to load iron ore pellets in Two Harbors. Dirk S. VanEnkevort and Michigan Trader departed at 10:45 with iron ore pellets for Cleveland. As of Monday night, no vessels were in port on the Duluth side. No vessel traffic is expected until Wednesday.
Superior Entry: Burns Harbor departed at 02:28 (CST) Monday morning with iron ore pellets for her namesake port. American Spirit arrived at 02:58 to load at BNSF; they departed at 16:25 with iron ore pellets. As of Monday night, no vessels were in port on the Superior side. No vessel traffic is expected until Wednesday.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
Joseph L. Block departed Two Harbors on 12/20 at 06:24 for Indiana Harbor. Arriving Two Harbors on 12/20 from the Twin Ports at 07:51 was the Hon. James L. Oberstar. At 18:30 on 12/20 she was still at the dock. Due Two Harbors is the Edgar B. Speer that is anchored in Whitefish Bay. Due Northshore Mining in Silver Bay is the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader, but after being at Algoma Steel she went to anchor in Whitefish Bay at approx. 18:30 on 12/20.
Milwaukee, WI – Jeremy Whitman
The tug and barge combo Undaunted-Pere Marquette 41 departed Milwaukee just before 8AM on Dec 20th bound for Marinette. The pair spent the night at anchor in Milwaukee’s outer harbor while waiting for weather to clear.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Sunda continues at elevators. Algoma Compass arrived at 18:31 Sunday evening to load at Compass Minerals; this is their 28th appearance in Goderich this season.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Monroe: James R. Barker arrived at 10:20 to unload at DTE. She left for Superior at 20:30. Harvest Spirit unloaded steel coils and departed at 16:28.
Marblehead: Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson arrived at 03:03 to load at LaFarge. She loaded and left for a return trip to Cleveland at 13:35.
Sandusky: Victory/ Maumee arrived at 15:41 to load coal. Kaye E. Barker is expected to arrive Tuesday morning.
Lorain: Calumet departed for Detroit at 06:41.
Cleveland: Federal Dart left Sunday night for Toledo. Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson left Sunday night for Marblehead. Algoma Buffalo departed at 00:55 with salt for Toronto. Peyton Lynn C departed at 13:38 for Valleyfield. Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson arrived back from Marblehead at 18:38 to unload at RiverDock.
Conneaut: Indiana Harbor arrived at 13:04 and anchored before going to the P&C dock at 13:58.
Erie: Algoma Sault left for Thunder Bay at 05:09.
Nanticoke: Leo McArthur/John J. Carrick departed for Tracy at 05:10. Algonorth moved to Imperial Oil at 00:01. CSL Niagara arrived at 05:15, unloaded and departed at 10:51.Algonova is still anchored.
