 Duluth-Superior – Scott Bjorklund
Duluth Entry: Joseph L. Block departed at 11:50 (CST) Thursday morning with iron ore pellets for Indiana Harbor. Paul R. Tregurtha arrived from anchor at 12:34 to load low sulfur coal at SMET. American Century arrived from anchor soon after at 13:13 to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. As of Thursday afternoon, Federal Clyde was unloading at CRH and American Century was loading at CN#6. Paul R. Tregurtha is estimated to depart early Friday with low sulfur coal. American Century may depart late morning or early afternoon with iron ore pellets.
Superior Entry: Lee A. Tregurtha departed at 08:00 (CST) Thursday morning empty for Marquette; they originally arrived to unload eastern coal at C.Reiss Coal and took a delay at Port Terminal on departure. As of Thursday afternoon, American Spirit was still at BNSF possibly due to a delay. American Spirit may depart sometime Thursday night or Friday morning. Burns Harbor is expected to load iron ore pellets at BNSF Friday afternoon.

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
As of 16:00 on 11/2 the Edwin H. Gott is still at South of #2, Presque Isle is still at North of #2, and the Algoma Conveyor is still stopped off the Two Harbors Breakwall. The American Integrity for Two Harbors is anchored in Whitefish Bay waiting on weather. She stopped between 15:30 and 16:00. Also heading to Two Harbors is the James R. Barker. She stopped in Thunder Bay South of Alpena, MI the afternoon of 12/02. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the arrival of the Whitefish Bay on 12/02 at 10:58. She had been stopped between the Silver Creek Cliff tunnel and Encampment Island North of Two Harbors. Due Silver Bay on 12/03 is the Clyde S. VanEnkevort/Erie Trader. She took the Keweenaw Ship Canal upbound. The Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader is due Silver Bay, but on 11/2 she is running checked down in Whitefish Bay.

Thunder Bay, ON
Wednesday; 18:31The saltie Lyulin departed for Antwerp. 18:51 Federal Churchill weighed anchor and proceeded to Thunder Bay Terminals to load potash. 19:44 Algoma Intrepid arrived at the MobilEx Terminal to load potash. 20:08 CSL Welland finished loading and shifted to the main anchorage to wait out weather.20:32 The saltie Brant proceeded to Viterra A to load grain. 22:53 Algoma Guardian arrived at the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain. Thursday; 0:53 Algoma Sault departed for Hamilton. 8:23 CSL Welland departed for Montreal.13:38 Algoma Intrepid departed for Oshawa. 12:28 The saltie Kom arrived and went to anchor. 12:48 Kaministiqua departed for Sorel.

Keweenaw Waterway
Barge Erie Trader / tug Clyde S. VanEnkevort passed westbound through the Keweenaw Waterway on Thursda. High winds and waves on Lake Superior made the detour more attractive than going to anchor. USCG Hollyhock was also in the waterway doing Aids to Navigation work.

Marquette, MI – Arthur Pickering
Herbert C Jackson and Hon. James L. Oberstar made visits to the ore dock earlier this week.  Currently, Erie Trader is loading at ore dock and Lee S. Tregurtha should arrive late Thursday afternoon.

Lake Erie Ports for Thursday – Bill Kloss
Marblehead:  Defiance/Ashtabula departed at 12:37 and went to anchor off of Sandusky. Cuyahoga Arrived late Thursday night.
Lorain:  American Mariner arrived at 03:17 to unload stone at Carmeuse. She departed at 18:49.
Cleveland:  Petite Forte/St. Mary’s Cement arrived at 02:15 and went to St. Mary’s Jefferson St. terminal to unload. Federal Kivalina and Fuldaborg are at the Port. Prentiss Brown/St. Mary’s Challenger and Mesabi Miner are due on Friday.
Ashtabula:  Robert S. Pierson departed at 11:51 for Picton.
Nanticoke:  Anchored off of Port Dover and waiting to go to Imperial Oil are Algonorth and Algoma Hansa.
