Duluth Entry: Great Republic departed at 19:52 (CST) Tuesday night with iron ore pellets for Gary. James R. Barker arrived at 11:10 Wednesday morning to load iron ore pellets at CN#6. Mesabi Miner arrived at 12:14 to load low sulfur coal at SMET. As of Wednesday afternoon, James R. Barker was loading at CN#6 and Gardno was loading at Riverland Ag. Mesabi Miner is estimated to depart early Thursday with low sulfur coal; Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is expected to come in shortly before or after to load low sulfur coal at SMET. James R. Barker is estimated to depart sometime Thursday morning with iron ore pellets. Arthur M. Anderson is expected late morning to unload limestone at CN-Hallett #5.
Superior Entry: Stewart J. Cort departed at 19:26 (CST) Tuesday night with iron ore pellets for Burns Harbor. As of Wednesday afternoon, Whistler was loading at CHS#1 while Mesabi Miner was loading at SMET. Michipicoten is expected early Thursday morning to load iron ore pellets at BNSF.

Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
The Indiana Harbor departed Two Harbors on 12/08 at 12:43 for Indiana Harbor. Arriving Two Harbors on 12/08 at 13:09 after being stopped North of Port Wing, WI. As of 16:15 on 12/08 the Edwin H. Gott is running checked down waiting on Two Harbors. Northeast of Outer Island at 16:15 on 12/08 is the Joseph L. Block for Two Harbors. Arriving Northshore Mining in Silver Bay on 12/08 at 10:07 was the Joyce L. VanEnkevort/Great Lakes Trader.

Tuesday; 19:47 Frontenac departed for Midland. 21:53 Saginaw departed for Windsor. 2:06 CSL St Laurent departed for Montreal. 17:04 Algoma Strongfield departed for Quebec City.

Marquette, MI – Arthur Pickering
Hon James Oberstar visited the ore dock Tuesday evening and departed Wednesday morning.  The Lee A Tregurtha is due very early Thursday morning and the Maumee is expected late afternoon on Sunday.

Charlevoix: Wednesday; 6:25 Caroline McKee / Commander arrived at the St Marys plant to load cement products.

Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Sunship’s Lake Erie arrived from Calumet Harbor at 06:03 Wednesday (12/08). With an assist from G-tug North Dakota, she backed into south slip one, outer harbor, and tied up at the Federal Marine Terminals dock. She carries steel from Gemlick, Turkey. This year Milwaukee has received 24 loads of steel by Seaway vessel: 14 from IJmuiden, 8 from Antwerp, 2 from Gemlick. Last year the city saw 23 ships with steel. Prentiss Brown/St. Marys Challenger arrived from Charlevoix at 07:35 with cement for the Kinnickinnic River terminal.

Bruce Mines:Wednesday; Cuyahoga arrived to load trap rock.
Meldrum Bay: Wednesday; 10:22 Calumet departed for Marine City. 11:21 Laura L Van Enkevort / Joseph H Thompson proceeded to the Lafarge dock to load limestone. 12:30 Algoma Compass arrived and went to anchor.  
Calcite: Wednesday; 5:05  Arthur M Anderson departed for Duluth Superior. 6:29  Sam Laud departed for Cleveland. 6:33 Clyde S Van Enkevort / Erie Trader arrived to load limestone. 11:38 John G Munson arrived and went to anchor.
Stoneport: Wednesday; 13:26 Kaye E Barker departed for Marine City. CSL Laurentian weighed anchor and arrived to load limestone. 15:46 Manitowoc arrived and went to anchor.
Alpena: Tuesday; 20:23 G L Ostrander / Integrity departed for the St Joseph River.

Andean cleared 8.42am Wednesday downbound for Montreal. Algoma Niagara continues at Compass Minerals. Algoma Sault, John D. Leitch, Algoma Buffalo now expected in that order.

Lake Erie Ports for Wednesday – Bill Kloss
Monroe:  Iver Bright arrived at 13:41. Lee A. Tregurtha arrived at 15:49 from Sandusky with coal for DTE.
Sandusky:  Lee A. Tregurtha departed for Monroe at 10:40.
Cleveland:  Iryda left late Tuesday night. American Courage arrived from Lorain at 03:52 to load a shuttle for Cliffs. Polsteam’s Irma arrived at 14:27 and went to dock 24W at the Port. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder took on fuel at the Port, then departed for Toledo.
Ashtabula:  Spruceglen departed for Two Harbors at 04:24. Maria G arrived at the Pinney dock at 16:08.
Conneaut:  American Integrity arrived at 16:47 and went to anchor. She went to the P&C dock at 20:46.
Nanticoke:  Presque Isle arrived at Stelco at 04:51. Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin left for Detroit at 12:40. Harbour Feature and Algonorth are still at Imperial Oil. Algoterra and Algonorth are at Imperial Oil. Algonova and Algoterra are still anchored as is Sharon MI/Huron Spirit.
