Duluth, MN – Superior, WI – Joshua Hebeisen
Fast Eddie awakens! For the first time in 14 years, steamer Edward L. Ryerson’s AIS receiver has been switched on in the latest sign of life around the vessel at Fraser Shipyards. Her destination was originally listed as Hamilton, ON, (likely a carryover from 2009) before being switched to “No Where” during the day on Monday. She will indeed be heading nowhere, at least for the time being… Rumors continue to swirl regarding the vessel’s future and a potential return to service. All that has been confirmed at this time is that some unspecified work is currently being performed on the vessel, and company representatives have stated that no official long-term decision has been made. Regardless, it’s good to see the old gal getting some attention during the winter season.

Port Huron, MI – Sarnia, ON – Joshua Hebeisen
Asphalt/bitumen tanker Iver Bright arrived from Detroit, MI, at 19:00 and went to Suncor. Algosea left the Imperial Oil lower dock just before midnight and went to anchor in Lake Huron.

Detroit, MI – Windsor, ON – Joshua Hebeisen
Winter warrior Whitefish Bay was clear of the Windsor Salt dock around 08:00 Monday morning, headed upbound the Detroit River with a destination of South Chicago, IL. USCGC Morro Bay briefly left her stead at the Detroit/Wayne Country Port Authority’s dock to assist. Later in the afternoon,
Iver Bright departed Detroit for Sarnia at 13:55 following a one-day stay at Mistersky. This time, Morro Bay followed the tanker upbound before eventually stopping at Algonac, MI.

While we do not currently have daily summaries for the following ports, their respective port authority websites post schedules of vessel traffic that are featured below. Each schedule is a miniature webpage within a box. Scroll with your cursor in the box (or slide your finger within the box on a mobile device) to move through the schedule as you would a normal webpage. To move up or down the actual Port Reports page itself, make sure your cursor/finger is outside of the box.
