St. Joseph – Benton Harbor, MI – Michael Moran
3 arrivals were recorded last week. The Samuel de Champlain/Innovation arrived on 02 January with cement and 05 January with slag for Holcim Cement. Undaunted/Pere Marquette 41 arrived 08 January with slag for Rieth-Riley Central Dock. Holcim expects one more delivery this season, but details are pending. The King dredge crew will be spending the winter here before they dredge the harbor again in the spring.
Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Marblehead, OH: Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder arrived from Cleveland to load stone at the Holcim dock.
Cleveland, OH: Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder did a “shuttle” of salt to Osborne, then departed for Marblehead. Manitowoc is running shuttles for Cliffs while Sam Laud gets repairs at the Port docks. Leonard M/Huron Spirit arrived to unload steel coils at the Port, departing in the evening with no destination update on her AIS. Sam Laud’s repairs were completed and she moved back to the Bulk Terminal to load a shuttle.
Conneaut, OH: American Integrity departed for Superior, WI. Defiance/Ashtabula unloaded at the P&C Dock and then left for Duluth, MN.
Nanticoke, OH: CSL Assiniboine arrived at Stelco to unload ore. After unloading she departed for Port Colborne and was followed a couple hours later by the tug and barge Presque Isle to unload ore at Stelco.
