Straits of Mackinac: Friday; Erika Kobasic arrived to assist Anglian Lady / Iron Master and Wilfred M Cohen to the Straits of Mackinac. 6:14 CCGS Griffon was underway to begin ice operations. 7:07 Algoma Niagara was underway for Goderich and crossed the Straits of Mackinac at 14:25. 10:09 CCGS Griffon arrived at the St Ignace Coast Guard slip. 12:55 Algoma Intrepid, Algoma Sault both departed for Goderich. 13:04 USCG Mobile Bay was underway to escort the Algoma Intrepid and Algoma Sault to Lake Huron. 16:03 CCGS Griffon departed St Ignace for Lake Michigan for ice operations.

CSL ASSINIBOINE arrived from Windsor at 10:41 Friday (01/28) with deicing salt. She backed into south slip one, outer harbor, and dropped her cargo on the open dock. This is her second visit of 2021.

Alpena: Thursday; 20:56 The tug Manitou began ice operations. 21:57 Samuel De Champlain / Innovation departed for Detroit.21:59 Manitou returned to her berth in the Thunder Bay River. Friday; 14:25 departed and is upbound on Lake Huron.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Niagara is expected next. Algoma Intrepid and Algoma Sault are expected after Niagara in that order for salt.

USCGC Bristol Bay escorted Algocanada from western Lake Erie to Pelee Island on her way to Nanticoke.
