Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A. Putney
American Century arrived Two Harbors on 01/06 at 01:55 for South of #2. Great Republic departed Two Harbors on 01/06 at 05:34 for Gary after waiting on weather. The Presque Isle stopped off Two Harbors on 01/06 at 09:00. She got underway at 14:00 and arrived around 14:20. Looking at AIS shows she’s at North of #2, but on the boat launch cam it looks like she’s at South of #1. The Joseph L. Block arrived off Duluth between 13:00 and 13:30 to wait on the Two Harbors dock. Northshore Mining in Silver Bay saw the Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader depart on 01/05 at 22:27 for Toledo after waiting on weather.
Thunder Bay, ON
Monday; 21:49 Florence Spirit departed for Windsor. Tuesday; 19:30 Capt. Henry Jackman finished loading and went anchor to wait out the weather. 22:46 Blair McKeil arrived and went to anchor. Wednesday; 13:25 Algoma Niagara arrived and went to anchor. 17:26 Blair Mckeil weighed anchor and proceeded to the Richardson Main Terminal to load grain. Thursday; 6:34 Algoma Niagara weighed anchor and proceeded to Viterra B to load grain. 7:59 Capt.Henry Jackman weighed anchor and departed for Windsor. By Thursday at 8:00 all vessels anchored in Thunder Bay for weather had departed. 8:54 Algoma Discovery arrived at elevator S which is normally used for longer term layup. 15:18 Beverly MI / Glovertown Spirit departed for Port Maitland. 16:05 Blair McKeil departed for Windsor. 16:58 Manitoulin arrived at the Superior Elevator to load grain.
St. Marys River
Traffic Thursday was light. Herbert C. Jackson was upbound in the evening and went to anchor for weather in Goulais Bay. Saginaw was behind her, going to Algoma. Sharon M 1 and her barge were upbound in the late evening, also for Algoma. Harvest Spirit was downbound mid-evening for Windsor. AIS shows Friday will be a busy day for downbounders delayed earlier in the week for weather.
Sturgeon Bay, WI
The tug Albert is now in the small graving dock. The ferry Mary Ann Market went out into the bay of Green Bay today, returning to the yard. The Badger and the Alpena both undocked from the large graving dock today. The Badger is on berth 2 and the Alpena on the face.
Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
Sam Laud cleared for Waukegan at 22:36 Wednesday. Algoma Intrepid should arrive very late Thursday (01/06) with salt from Compass Minerals, Goderich.

McGregor Bay: Tuesday; 23:00 John D Leitch arrived at Fisher Harbour to unload.
Lake Erie Ports for Thursday – Bill Kloss
Sandusky: H. Lee White departed at 19:27 for Detroit. Victory/Maumee moved up to load. Kaye E. Barker went to the dock while Robert S. Pierson remains anchored.
Cleveland: New York/Double Skin 509A is at Marathon.
Ashtabula: American Courage arrived from Erie at 18:21.
Erie: American Courage departed for Ashtabula at 14:07.
Nanticoke: Algoma Hansa and Algosea have both gone back to Imperial Oil and Calumet is at Stelco. CSL Tadoussac arrived at 17:45 and went to anchor.
Seaway – Rene Beauchamp
Ojibway went into winter layup at Sorel, QC, at section 14 (Richardson elevator) on Thursday.
