Duluth, MN – Superior, WI – Joshua Hebeisen
With the help of 95-year-old G-tug Missouri, Federal Caribou cast off from Gavilon in Superior at 22:55 Friday night, making her way to the Duluth side of the harbor to depart at 00:16 Saturday morning. She is carrying a load of either wheat or beet pulp pellets for delivery to an overseas port. At 05:01, 1,004-foot Edgar B. Speer made a dramatic entrance under a red morning sky to load ore at CN Dock 6. Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin would depart Superior at 07:08 with 30,000 tons of Keetac pellets for Nanticoke, allowing Mesabi Miner to arrive off the lake at 08:32 to take her place at BNSF Dock 5. American Century was the last traffic of the day when she proceeded inbound Superior at 18:51 to take a delay at the Enbridge dock. She is due next at BNSF to load ore after the Miner. 

Two Harbors, MN – Silver Bay, MN – Gary Putney
Radcliffe R. Latimer was preparing to depart Two Harbors PM on 07/10 for Quebec City. Arriving off the Two Harbors South pier on 7/9 was the  G3 Marquis. Due Two Harbors to load or go to lay-by is the Baie Comeau.

Marquette, MI – Joshua Hebeisen
American Spirit was outbound the upper harbor for Cleveland at 01:20 Saturday morning.

Milwaukee, WI – MKE Marine Reports
After delivering steel from IJmuiden at Federal Marine Terminals, Lubie cleared for Duluth at 20:24 Friday. Algoma Intrepid and Ocean Castle are both expected Saturday.

Muskegon, MI – Matthew Uthe
Lee A. Tregurtha arrived Saturday morning.

Southern Lake Michigan Ports – Joshua Hebeisen
Calumet Harbor, IL: Arriving from Goderich at 02:56, likely with salt, was Algoma Innovator for Middle River Marine. She backed up the river early Saturday afternoon and departed for Meldrum Bay at 14:56. Herbert C. Jackson was inbound minutes later, also destined for Middle River Marine. Remaining in port were Caroline McKee/Commander. The McKee is tied up at the terminals along S. Butler Drive, though the location of her barge is not clear.

Buffington, IN: Hon. James L. Oberstar was a 05:48 departure for Drummond Island.
Gary, IN: Saturday was a busy day for Gary Harbor, with three vessels in port as of 21:00. Indiana Harbor arrived from Superior at 07:23 to unload at the hopper, American Mariner backed in at 12:55 for the eastern side of the pier, and the Great Republic was inbound from Two Harbors at 17:06 to tie up north of the Indiana Harbor.
Burns Harbor, IN: Burns Harbor departed for Duluth at 15:29, while Federal Montreal was outbound for her namesake port at 19:29. 

Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas
Algoma Innovator cleared 13.43 Thursday upbound for Chicago with salt.  Algoma Sault arrived 11.17 Friday and loading at Compass Minerals.  Algoma Buffalo expected next for salt

Detroit, MI – Windsor, ON – Joshua Hebeisen
Detroit-Windsor saw a pair of late-night departures in Victory/Maumee and Thunder Bay since the last report. The Victory and her barge continued upbound for the Soo from Mistersky at 22:58, while Thunder Bay was downbound for Hamilton with a load of salt from Windsor Salt just after 23:00. The next morning, Walter J. McCarthy Jr. stopped in port at 05:06 while making the journey from Cleveland to Superior. After fueling up at Mistersky, she was back on her way upbound at 09:04. 07:12 saw another arrival of the cruise ship Ocean Navigator; she once again tied up at the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority dock while her passengers toured downtown Detroit and the surrounding area. H. Lee White arrived for Mistersky fuel at 08:39, and Calumet followed her inbound for Morton on the River Rouge less than 30 minutes later. The latter would pass Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder as the Interlake tug/barge made her way out the river and headed south for Cleveland at 10:32. Done fueling, the White resumed the long trip to Thorold at 12:22. Iver Bright was Montreal-bound from Marathon at 15:02; Ocean Navigator got underway for her next port of call in Cleveland at 18:22. 

Lake Erie Ports – Bill Kloss
Toledo, OH: Late Friday night saw the arrival of Manitoulin and the departure of G.L. Ostrander/Integrity for Cleveland.John D. Leitch is loading at CSX. Manitoulin departed for Sandusky at 11:49. The saltie Greenwing finally departed, leaving for Montreal at 16:15.
Sandusky, OH: Robert S. Pierson arrived at Norfolk Southern at 00:36, loaded coal and left for the Soo at 09:23. Calumet departed for Detroit at 02:40. Manitoulin arrived at 18:10.
Lorain, OH: American Courage arrived at 07:17.
Cleveland, OH: Saltie Vectis Progress departed for Sorel,PQ at 00:22. G.L. Ostrander/Integrity arrived from Toledo at 06:43 to unload at the Holcim Cement terminal. Sam Laud arrived from Erie, PA at 11:50. Leonard M/Huron Spirit is at dock 22E at the Port. New York/Double Skin 509A is at Marathon.
Fairport Harbor, OH: Michipicoten attempted to enter the Grand River but was unable due to a sandbar which has also kept Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson from entering.
Erie, PA: Sam Laud departed for Cleveland at 05:00.
Nanticoke, ON: Algocanada is at Imperial Oil, arriving there at 02:25 to load petroleum products.
Port Colborne, ON: The saltie Redhead remains anchored awaiting orders.
