Duluth Entry: Mesabi Miner departed at 19:17 (CST) Thursday night with iron ore pellets for Toledo. Presque Isle arrived at 23:04 to fuel and load iron ore pellets at CN#6. American Mariner departed at 11:38 with wheat for Buffalo. Indiana Harbor arrived at 12:41 to load at CN#6. As of Friday night, Presque Isle was loading at CN#6 while Indiana Harbor sat waiting on the other side of the dock. Presque Isle is estimated to depart sometime Friday night with iron ore pellets. Great Republic is expected Saturday mid-afternoon to unload limestone at C.Reiss Coal. Indiana Harbor is estimated to depart Saturday night with iron ore pellets.
Superior Entry: Algoma Guardian departed at 23:13 with iron ore pellets for Hamilton. Stewart J. Cort arrived from anchor at 23:44 to load at BNSF. As of Friday night, Stewart J. Cort was the only vessel on the Superior side of the Twin Ports. She’s estimated to depart early Saturday with iron ore pellets.
Two Harbors-Silver Bay – Gary A Putney
Two Harbors had no traffic on 7/16 and none scheduled on 7/17. Joyce L. VanEnkevort departed Northshore Mining in Silver Bay at 20:05 on 7/15.
St. Marys River
After a day of sparse traffic, Atlantic Huron and Paul R. Tregurtha were downbound after dark.
Northern Lake Michigan
Port Inland: Hon James L. Oberstar was loading Friday night.
Green Bay, WI
Alaskaborg, Algoma Intrepid and Bradshaw McKee with her barge were all in port Friday night.
Southern Lake Michigan
John D. Leitch and Federal Ruhr were at Burns Harbor Friday night. Walter J. McCarthy Jr. was at Gary, with John G. Munson departing. Algoma Intrepid was at S. Chicago, with Spruceglen due. Wilfred Sykes is due at Indiana Harbor.
Goderich, ON – Bruce Douglas.
Algoma Intrepid cleared 5.07 am Thursday upbound for Chicago with salt. Algoma Compass arrived 3.47 pm Friday loading at Compass Minerals. Tenth appearance for Compass this season in Goderich for salt. Algoma Conveyor expected next.
Lake Erie Ports for Friday – Bill Kloss
Marblehead: John J. Boland loaded stone and departed for Marine City at 12:57.
Sandusky: Kaye E. Barker arrived to load coal at Norfolk Southern at 13:11.
Cleveland: Ijzerborg arrived at 05:56. She had a speedy offload and departed for Chicago at 12:18.American Spirit unloaded and left at 14:41. Dorothy Ann/Pathfinder moved to the Bulk Terminal at 15:39 to load a shuttle after American Spirit departed. Polsteam’s Iryda arrived late Friday night.
Fairport Harbor: Lee A. Tregurtha arrived at 05:34 and unloaded stone for Osborne. She departed for Marquette at 15:32
Nanticoke: Algosea was at Imperial Oil.
